I have to giggle whenever I think about how Violet finally thought she got some peace, managing to successfully get Daphne to marry for love, her biggest problem/rake child marrying for love too, her two other problem/rake children marrying for love as well. She probably believed Benedict falling for a maid was the most scandalous thing to happen to her 8 kids. She probably believes the only hard thing now will be convincing Eloise that marriage can be beautiful and then here comes her quietest child wanting to marry a woman 😭😭😭

funniest (no) part about francesca joining the marriage mart is that not only michaela has to go through the horrors of watching francesca dancing with men at balls BUT she also has to watch them calling for her in the morning. her crush is getting courted by random men in her own house and she can’t even leave because she accidentally became important at work

A Michaela Stirling character analysis from my POV

I believe that the way Michaela acts with society is some sort of defense mechanism. She is so charismatic that the men interpret it as Michaela flirting with them. Michaela uses this as an advantage, as she never outright dismisses any of the men. Since she gives everyone the time of day and is rather open and bold, she seems like someone that refuses to settle just yet because she has a lot of "choices" in the ton.

What is so nice about Michaela's personality is that yes, she is extremely bold, witty and charming and it is NOT fake, however, THOSE being her personality traits also provide her wih a form ofv protection. In my opinion, her being witty and bold allow her to control the narrative of her life and how she is seen by society, while she makes sure that the emotions she hides DEEP within herself are hidden.

Now add Francesca into the mix and Michaela is stuck with a personal dilemma. At this point no one could judge Michaela more than she judges herself. As so many people online have already mentioned before, loving Francesca feels to her like she can't remain loyal to John. She feels extreme guilt, which means she can't even properly grieve John without feeling like she isn't being loyal to him. She feels guilty, she is in love, and she is grieving. For someone who is quite sensitive, it only made sense for her to "flee". She was feeling too much and Francesca was a constant reminder of everything she is currently dealing with. In my opinion, Michaela wasn't lying when she told Francesca she would stay, her eyes were very genuine but she panicked after Francesca grabbed her hand. She did linger but finally chose to pull away, not allowing herself to feel.

Eventhough she chose to put distance between herself and Francesca, London, the ton, JOHN, she is someone who has never stopped loving, even when she herself believes she shouldn't or doesn't deserve it and I am so excited to see how they are going to make Michaela believe she deserves this love.

You can clearly always see Michaela choosing to hold back instead of letting herself feel things openly and FREELY. During Francescas outburst when she told Michaela that she is causing her distress, you can see Michaela take a little breath, look somewhat away and she gets very serious before she says “He loves you”. Don't call me crazy but to me, she was speaking for both herself AND John.

What makes Michalea such a nice and complex character is that beneath her bold personality, she can actually be quite soft and sensitive. Her being so charming is not fake at all, however, she uses this trait of hers in a strategic way with how she interacts with the ton. Her being bold (even though Francesca might disagree with me here), isn't her being free but it is her being protective of herself.

Michaela is someone who loves very deeply, she has been grieving and she has been struggling with juggling these feelings. One being the memory of John and the other being her falling for Francesca, even though at the end of the day it costs Michaela the happiness that she deserves.

Can you believe Michaela going her entire life thinking the way she feels is wrong, she’s been classified a rake or spinster because she can’t get attached to anyone in case people find out she is attracted to women. Then here comes this breathtaking woman that is married to her cousin, which might as well be like her twin brother since theyre attached at the hips since forever and she probably feels like the world is collapsing. She probably thinks the universe is taking a huge piss at her.

I can’t stop thinking about what they will do with the “When He Was Wicked” book when they repress it with the Netflix couple poster. Do we think maybe Julia will rewrite it? She is present doing the production and she fully supports Franchaela, so maybe that idea isn’t as far fetched but then again, it’s not a given. Do you guys think they would just repress When He Was Wicked with Franchaela on the cover and call it a day?

I’d also like to add that I would buy a rewritten version as soon as it hits the shelves, I need that so bad.

I like to imagine Francesca’s love language towards Michaela in season 5, I totally see them laying in bed together and Francesca watching Michaela while she is sleeping, or randomly tracing her hands along Michaela’s body absentmindedly while Michaela looks at Francesca all love-struck. Or Francesca smiling all goofy because she thinks Michaela’s tooth gap is the cutest thing she’s ever seen. I think we will see Francesca lovingly tilt her head totally spaced out a few times because she just thinks Michaela is perfect. I truly, truly believe we will hear Francesca give Michaela compliments when they finally get together or when they’re having intimate moments.

They’re just so perfect together.

It is so funny to me how people genuinely believe Francesca is bisexual.

The whole point of her arc, the way it was rewritten, is that she was in fact not attracted to John. She adored him, maybe even loved him but she was not IN LOVE with him. When you hear her talk to Michaela she basically insinuates that she thinks something is wrong with her, she KNOWS she doesn’t love him the way she’s “supposed to”. She thinks she’s broken. Have people not watched their intimate scenes together? It was absolutely awkward and not enjoyable for Francesca at all.

Now compare those scenes to Franchaela scenes and you have your answer, Francesca is undoubtedly a lesbian with major comphet issues.

Can you imagine how absolutely devastated, guilty and maybe even disgusted Michaela felt when Francesca held her hand, asked her to stay and she felt a shock going through her body. This was probably the moment she realized, shit, I am absolutely, hopelessly in love with my dead cousins grieving wife.

Francesca Bridgerton a character analysis from my POV:

We know that Francesca is the most reserved of the Bridgies, she is deeply introverted, thinks things through a million times in her head before she opts to speak, she is actually quite cheeky and also bold at times, especially around her siblings. I don’t think she’s ultra shy, I just think she gives it a lot of thought what she ought to say before opening her mouth.

Yes, around her family she stands out completely but then she also doesn’t. She isn’t as loud as Eloise but when with Eloise, she can actually be quite goofy, they’re not the Accidental Twins just because they share a birthday. I feel like it’s is actually quite noticeable that she acts like a typical younger sister with her older siblings and like an older sister with her younger siblings.

However, since Francesca is usually so poised and filtered. When she lashes out, her emotions break through and it comes out as extremely intense, she becomes louder, raw, sharper and even her body language is tense. I don’t think she intends to be mean either in those situations, to me it feels like it’s her emotional backlog exploding. Whenever she lashed out at someone, usually it follows with her looking like she regrets her outburst or it drains her enough into breaking down.

Francesca is on the quieter side, she loves peace, she tries her hardest to fit societal expectations, she is reserved and when she reaches her breaking point, she lets go of it all. She doesn’t feel emotions like her siblings, she feels everything more heightened. I believe in a sense, the closest she is similar to, emotions wise is Anthony. They both tend to be extremely controlled, whereas Anthony however is more emotionally intense, Francesca is emotionally distant. It’s like her emotional backlog takes the reins and blurts out everything that is on Francesca’s mind. They both tend to explode with emotions, although they’re the two siblings who are most composed.

I would also like to add, that the only times Francesca lashed out were with her Mother and Michaela. And I believe it’s because those two people are the only two people who deep inside Francesca trigger some things, she doesn’t want to face. With Violet it’s feeling boxed in, having to meet family expectations that to her she doesn’t fulfill in Violets eyes (chasing that love high instead of settling down for a peaceful love), while with Michaela, it’s deep overwhelming attraction that she hasn’t even figured out yet.

I truly believe that seeing Michaela being so free spirited and the complete opposite of Francesca, is some sort of jealousy of not being able to push societal expectations away like Michaela but also, it causes a collapse of her control with feelings she hadn’t even figured out yet.

In the end I feel like when for Francesca words fail, when she gets to a point that she is completely frustrated, this frustration comes out loud. She has rare outbursts and I truly believe her outbursts come from not feeling understood, caged and in those moments, disconnected.

Saying some things are black and white just doesn’t seem right to me, Francesca is a complex character, perfectly nuanced which is why she has become my favorite character in the show, ever since season 3. Shout out to Hannah Dodd for portraying her so perfectly, all the mannerisms portrayed make her feel so real. I truly cannot wait for Hannah to lead season 5, so we can see more of Francesca and learn more about her.

“I’m not certain I need to feel butterflies” Francesca told her mother and THEN falls in love with Michaela and feels butterflies for the first time in her life while SURROUNDED by butterflies.

I’m sorry but Franchaela being set up so beautifully by Bridgerton writers is giving me life
