“Which way?” Romeo asked as he stood in the middle of the ship. “Your choice is our fate.” He stated as he looked around before looking at the person beside him. “Yes, I said ours. You make the choice, you’re coming with me.” He spoke with a small nod of his head. “So what will it be mate?”
“that way,” ella points, without bothering to put too much thought behind it, mostly because that’s how she makes a lot of her decisions. just go with it, don’t overthink it. it often gets her into trouble but she can usually talk her way out of that if needed. “i think its only fair that i come along, to be honest. where’s our fate going to take us this time?”
James: okay, so... for science (quite literally this time)
James: who would you say is the greatest female pop star of the past decade and why?
James: it doesn't have to be based on their vocal skills, just what you think they bring to the table... also, it doesn't necessarily have to be *pop*, just the female artist u love most
James: thank u, depending on ur answer i might buy you a smoothie:-)
ella: this is one of the most random texts ive gotten in a while
ella: im gonna go with lady gaga though because not only are her vocals amazing, but everything she does is pretty legit
the fitness room wasn’t fletcher’s favorite place on the ship he stayed fit & he managed to work out a few times a week , but goodness , there was a list of things he’d rather be doing . as he finishes up a few sets of sit ups , blue eyes land on ella across the room . she’s proven to be quite fun & now , feltcher can’t help but wonder what sort of fun he could get into tonight .
“ well , well , shouldn’t be too surprised to find ya here , hm ? are ya havin’ any fun ? ” he asks as he uses his shirt to wipe at his forehead where the sweat had started to drip .
a necessary evil, that’s how ella viewed the fitness center. working out was something that she had to do in order to stay on the top of her game for ballet. getting the motivation to get to the gym was the toughest part, she was usually fine once she started. the blonde was slowing down on the tread mill as fletcher approached. “oh loads of fun,” ella answered sarcastically with a chuckle. “you done with your workout?”
𝒄𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒚 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒂 𝒌𝒏𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅𝒏’𝒕 or for making poor judgement calls in the moment . although , there was a part of him that deep down knew what he was doing . he was an overthinker after all . an impulsive overthinker , a confusing duo . but deep down , he knew what he was doing . he just wanted the crazy , he wanted the wild . he wanted the things that had the potential of flipping his world upside down . which was one of the many reasons why ella was so alluring to him . he knew he could jump into the fire and she’d jump too if not before him . was that toxic behavior ?probably but that was besides the point . ❛ and yet , this is the first time i’ve bumped into you in awhile and we aren’t even on the boat right now . ❜ he smiled , motioning his hands towards her . ❛ here she is in all her glory . here i was thinking my luck was running out . ❜ raising his shoulders up and down , he continued to smile at the blonde . ❛ trying to find something interesting , something exciting enough to keep my interest . ❜ looking around , to check if there was a bar around , he focused his eyes back on her . ❛ wanna get a drink ?❜
spontaneity was one of the things that ella allowed herself to feel. it was exciting to get her blood pumping by making impulsive decisions. the beginning stages of her life were so structured thanks to her upbringing, and there were still parts of it now that felt the same way. ballet for example. it was something her parents pushed her into and something that she happened to be really good at. it took a lot of discipline and hard work to be successful so she puts in the time, but when that’s over she’s ready to let loose. “maybe you’ve been avoiding me,” the blonde teased him with a smirk. it was possible. she might be a good time girl but her lack of thinking ahead about consequences didn’t always go over well. though she could count on him to throw caution to the wind. “something exciting enough to keep your interest. im usually pretty good at that. but drinks are a great way to start.” slipping her arm through his, ella made her way over toward the closest bar. “what’s new in your life? fill me in.”
Parker sat in the sand with her feet burred. She was covered in tiny molecules. A pile of sand between her legs. She looked over at the incredible sad sculptures and sighed, tossing her lime green toy shovel to the right, “Mines never going to look like that is it?” @seasstarts
ella glanced over to the other set of sand sculptures and then looked back at parkers. “well. no.” she had to be honest, “but if you get people stoned enough to really use their imaginations it could come close?”
Well, that offer was unexpected. And Axel couldn’t help but chuckle, somewhat drunk and really feeling her adventurous vibe, thinking that maybe it was some of the shit he really to get away from his tormenting everyday thoughts. Interested, he got up from the sand and started taking his shirt off. “You know, when I first saw you in the ship, I didn’t take you for one with improper offers. You better not deflower me, I’m too innocent for you”.
even though it was dark, ella could almost picture the surprised look on his face. most of the time, that was one of her favorite expressions on people in general. “that’s because i have that doe-eyed, innocent look. though i’m anything but. it’s all part of my charm.” and it was. most of the time it meant she could get away with murder because who would ever suspect the pure looking ballerina? “no promises about preserving your contrived innocence,” ella joked, her articles of clothing left in a trail behind her as she entered the water.
it may have been late, but ella had always been a night owl. she felt like she had to take advantage of being docked in this amazing place so rather than heading right back to the ship after a night out at the bars, the ballerina had other plans. she couldn’t bring herself to walk back onto the boat when she could feel the sand beneath her toes on the beach instead. “you can’t honestly tell me you’re ready to call it a night. look at that ocean. it’s time for skinny dipping.” the blonde was already walking down to the shore line, glancing back over her shoulder, “you in?” @seasstarts
𝒄𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒚 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒄𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒅𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒔 and places he’d never seen before while also occasionally stopping in different bars he passed by to try out some new drinks they had that he had never tried before . honestly , it wasn’t all that bad to wonder around by himself but noticing ella , he was actually glad for some potential company . ⏤ walking over to her , he smiled once in front of her and making himself known . ❛ fancy meeting you here . you know , i would say small world but we been on the same boat for awhile now . ❜ the male teased slightly , narrowing his eyes a bit , the smile still clear on his face . ❛ feel like i haven’t really seen you in awhile though . so i figured might as well end the streak . ❜ cassidy wasn’t sure where they stood exactly but he figured they were chill with each other . . . bygones and all that .
ella had always been somewhat of a drifter, so being able to travel around the world and experience so many different things and places was a dream come true. it was a tradition of her own that she started that she would buy a shot glass from each place as a keepsake. she did just that and was exiting a shop when she noticed cassidy in front of her. “i think living on a boat might actually be the smallest world there is,” she told him with a laugh. “looks like it’s your lucky day then, because here i am!” unfortunately for ella, making bad decisions had almost become a personality trait for her. fortunately for ella, she never had much trouble finding people to be impulsive right along with her. “what’re you doing wandering around all by your lonesome?”
“yes, you’d better move then,” vivi warned, not bothering to turn her head to look at the blonde. she wasn’t one to cut someone slack just because they weren’t familiar with each other. unless she wanted to get something out of someone, she didn’t see any resaon for fake pleasantries.
it’s no surprise to anyone that ella is already engaged in conversation with the next person over, she’s flighty by nature as it is, but dealing with people giving off negative vibes is not her cuppa tea. in another moment she’s gone and then returning with a tray full of drinks because the ballerina is always one to keep the party going. “will another drink ruin your ‘peace’?” the blonde asks with air quotes, handing out the cups to the group while she speaks.
vivian was stretched out on the beach in her bikini, a half gone & quickly melting sunrise margarita beside her on a towel. “i don’t mind if you lay next to me as long as you don’t ruin my peace,” vivi warned, elbow covering her eyes.
the alcohol was already flowing through the blonde’s tiny body when she picked a spot on the beach that happened to be near vivian, who spoke up just before ella got comfortable. “oh i better move then, i am no good at peace and quiet.” trouble was what she was good at, and that rarely happened peacefully.
just like always lorraine made twenty too many chocolate chip cookies. so there she was knocking on door to door to see if anyone wanted to take a few to get them off of her hands. once the door open lorraine gave a bright smile to the other, holding out the plate of cookies in front of her. ‘ hey ! ’, she greeted. ‘ i made… way too many cookies and i was wondering if you wanted any ! ’
as was the norm, ella was getting ready to head out and have a bit of fun. it was friday and it was a long week. she was sipping on a drink whle she got ready and the knock on the door surprised her, she wasn’t expecting anyone. a smile appeared on her face, “aren’t you the sweetest? ill definitely take a cookie” plucking one from the plate she took a bite.
welcome aboard, ella faulkner, student 52. we are excited to set sail with you ! has anyone told you that you look like casimere jollette? according to our records, you hail from manhattan, ny, usa, prefer she/her, are cis woman, and are here to study ballet. we also see you received a spot on the ss university because of your academic money — we won’t tell anyone. during your first few weeks here, other students said you were + engaging, + generous, but also - self critical. it sounds like you spend most of your time at the fitness room. upon checking your luggage, we noticed you packed journals filled with handwritten notes and her "lucky" pointe shoes. hopefully your roommates don’t steal it!
Ella had a well to do upbringing in New York. Her parents are exactly what you would expect when you imagine people who come from ‘old money.’ Her father is a lawyer who comes from, you guessed it, a long line of lawyers (and thank god for that because she’s needed him to get her out of a bit of trouble throughout the years, whoops.)
While her parents are quite stuck up, Ella on the other hand is not. As one can imagine, this led to many misunderstandings in her upbringing. She more of a free spirit while her parents are trapped in their conventional ways.
As most teenagers do, Ella found a thrill in rebellion. It wasn’t even that she did so on purpose; her impulse control had always just been terrible (‘what do you mean putting bubbles in the swimming pool isn’t a good idea? It was fun!’). Halfway through middle school, her parents decided to ship her across the pond for boarding school. Though it seemed like a punishment at first, after a couple of weeks it was actually rewarding, and London quickly became one of her favorite places on the planet.
As soon as she was old enough, Ella’s parents enrolled their little princess in ballet class hoping that it would help hone the little girls energy and teacher her discipline, and there was no looking back from there. She had a natural talent that only progressed as she got older. The girl has a love hate relationship with the art. She loves ballet but hates how much discipline and focus it takes while she’s doing it. The classes and rehearsals are the bane of her existence, but she thrives being on stage. There’s no one there telling her what do to, counting steps, asking her to repeat variations and she can zone out and do her thing.
Ella has had numerous offers from ballet companies around the country to dance professionally, however, she knows that will severely limit her ability to travel and actually live a full life. She’s still in the midst of sorting out if that’s her parents dream come true, or her own and she’s hoping she can figure that out here at school. What she does know is that she’s extremely good at it and while she can exude confidence at times, she’s unsure of how she would be at doing something else.
-TW: DRUG USE/SUICIDE : She’s had one serious relationship in her life that ended in tragedy. The couple used drugs recreationally and no one saw a problem with it until Ella arrived home, finding him unconscious. There were drugs in his system but no one actually knows if it was truly unintentional. This has left her broken to what she feels is beyond repair, but she’ll never act like it. She’ll also never talk to you about it.
Her devil may care attitude is a defense mechanism to keep people from getting too close. She still uses drugs to help her deal with it, which seems counterproductive, but that’s life, eh?
She is fairly certain that she’s already lost the only love of her life so she avoids intimacy. That’s not to say that she avoids sex. In fact, she thinks it’s a great distraction but actual feelings and emotions? She’ll pass.
Growing up around so many powerful people all the time, Ella learned early on how to be social. The femme is extremely charming, something that she picked up on from her mother. It’s easy for her to make connections because she’s extremely perceptive. This is something she’s been able to use to her advantage. On one hand, if Stephanie is granting you her attention, she’ll make you feel like you’re the only person in the room. On the other hand, she can be easily distracted. When that happens she’s likely miles away in her own head, even though it’s unintentional.
