Unfortunately, another highly questionable decision by Bethesda as of late. Hopefully they come to their senses but recent developments haven’t exactly filled me with such hope about the direction they’re going. If you’re not going to be involved at all TES VI will be the worse for it. Thanks for making the previous titles as awesome as they were.

Really, super fucking controversial opinion time, but here goes:

He has been re-using the same fucking leitmotifs since morrowind, hell, since ICEWIND DALE, and while they are genuinely atmospheric and lovable soundtacks and I’ve basically used them to survive my university years, he is not irreplaecable.

There is a plethora of fantastic composers out there, many of them are fairly new to the industry, who could use a jumpstart with a major franchise (lemme show you an example from a super cute game, Valley: https://youtu.be/N-YE4VKh2k0 )

Jeremy Soule, while without a doubt a very talented composer, has had his fair share of fame and glory with this franchise, and just as the Dragon Age series benefited from a new composer (despite all it’s flaws, Inquisition’s soundtrack was almost spotless), I’m hopeful that the biggest issue with TES6 will solely include a “poor” choice for the soundtrack, and we won’t have bigger problems to deal with once it’s released.
