my gender is that of a wild animal in the woods. my gender is that of a butterfly you saw last summer. my gender is that of a stranger you saw and then forgot. my gender is that of a book. my gender is the smell of a spring morning or a winter night. my gender is when you clean the paint brush and create a swirl of misty patterns of clouds in water. my gender is a crack in the paint by the door of your childhood room. my gender is that of sleep and of laughter. my gender has no shape and no color. it is something you can look at but never see. my gender is just as it is. my gender is me.

Ideas on how to connect with your f/o 💋

Make a playlist for your f/o - use spotify or youtube.

Re-watch their scenes.

Write a fanfic about them and post it online.

Write poetry for them and post it online.

Draw the two of you together if you’re an artist.

Write a song about them, imagine yourself singing it to them.

Look at pictures of them, perhaps save them as your lockscreen/wallpaper.

Purchase their merchandise.

Create all kinds of headcanons for them. They don’t even have to fit their canon story- because canon doesn’t have to matter or exist!

Read other people’s headcanons about your f/o. 

While lying in bed, imagine them curled up next to you, perhaps spooning you and whispering sweet nothings into your ear. Picture them talking about their day as you fall asleep. Bunch up some blankets or place a pillow behind you to make it feel realistic. Imagine them kissing your neck and sighing as they inhale your scent.

Imagine taking a shower with them. Picture them standing behind you washing your hair.

Plan dates in your head, picture how they’d unfold. Think of questions you’d like to ask them so you can get to know them better.

If you need to reconnect with your f/o, imagine new headcanons or decide to take things to a higher level- Engagement, marriage, moving in etc.
