Noct fishes to stave off boredom in the Afterlife, but something just doesn't feel right. It feels even *less* right when his former arch-nemesis miraculously appears...

Hi y'all, how are things? 😊

I'm alive, just not really on Tumblr these days. Honestly, it was just eating too much of my life, and I needed to step back. I've been posting over on Twitter though - you can find me there at the same handle (@banditess). Feel free to follow!

I'm currently working on an Rockstar AU for Ardynoct Week, and I have put some words into the next chapter of Backseat Fishing. Writing is happening, but it's slow-going. I'm trying not to put too much pressure on myself because I'm finding I'm burning out easily these days, but my goal is to at least have the Rockstar AU done by the start of the fanweek. Even if I can only contribute one piece this year, that's better than nothing, and I'm okay with it.

I had a vivid dream that @planningtoflail (who I am uncertain even checks his tumblr anymore but if so, hi!) sent me a link to a scanlated FFVII doujin in which ALL of the dialogue and sfx had been replaced with variations of "Ya" and "おお" and nothing else, and I closed the window and went to tell him how great it was but instead sent the message to @dragongirl218 who was like "lol pretty sure you meant to send this to someone else?" And I was like "oh haha, yes I did, but you would probably find this thing pretty funny, hang on a minute" - so I reopened the window and tried to find it again...but I scrolled and scrolled and never found it.

And if that isn't the Most Tumblr Thing I've ever heard, I don't know what is. Sorry I never found the thing, dragongirl. I assure you it was hysterical. 😢

Hi, I am alive/okay. It's busy season at work and life in general has also swallowed me up. Hope all's well over here. Sorry I haven't been around for things lately. Part of me feels like I shouldn't bother coming around if I'm not bringing anything to the table, which I know is ridiculous, but irrational feelings are just that. I think I realized I can only write when I feel strong emotions (of any kind, positive or negative), and when I feel numb or blunted or just dampened in any way, words don't happen. Makes sense. How can you expect to write emotions if you aren't feeling them yourself? Anyway, I don't know what's got me like this, but I wish I did so I could yank it out by its roots.
