“I’m pretty sure the researchers there are masochists or something. What could even be there worth moving there for research purposes? Is the ice a bit fancier or something, or do they think they’ll unlock the secret of the universe?”

“Honestly… I wouldn’t go too far north or south if I were you… Unless you wish to live where the sun only turns once with the seasons. Also… the only people crazy enough to live in those places are scholars.”

“I’ve lived a.... good chunk of my life fairly deep in the north, but even I wasn’t crazy enough to live at a tip of the world. That just sounds like punishment.”

“I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I miss the snow and ice. It’s just too hot out.”

“Agoth, I swear to both Gods of Earth and Ente Isla that if I look into the fridge and find it completely empty, I’m going to turn you into a fur rug.”

“Its natural? That’s so cute, I wish I had a hair color with flare like that.” Haya was quick to compliment, helping herself to another bite before focusing on her dinner date’s comment. “Really? I don’t know.”

“Everyone can look great in a dress, you just need to give it a shot. An evening dress, like one for clubbing. Shorter, covers the arms but still looks nice and slim. And with your pretty hair, oh gosh you’d be a hit.”

Okay now she was just getting embarrassed, doing her best to keep her head down so the red of her face couldn’t be seen. “It’s not that... I’m not,” it may have been getting harder to think of her responses now.

“I think you’re over-estimating how well I can coordinate my outfits to find something that would fit, besides you need a bit of elegance or something to be able to pull those off.” she’d probably be constantly tripping over herself in the dress.

“Ah!” Okay, that hurt. She was prepare for it and it still shocked her how hard it was. She staggered back some, but kept her balance, somehow. Right in the eye too, it was already swelling. That was definitely going to leave a bruise for a few days, but she was still standing!

“Ugh… Jesus… okay, that was a pretty good punch. I’m gonna’ be feeling this for awhile…” She said, a hand over the blackened eye. 

“You didn’t knock me down, but I’ll at least acknowledge your strength. You’re… Keali, right?”

Normally a punch like that would knock them down, or disorientate them enough that they tripped over themselves. So, she was pretty impressed that the woman was still on her feet.

“What, were you expecting something weaker? Sorry to disappoint then,” she responded in amusement.

“But, yeah, Keali. Glad to know you actually remembered it.”

“I swear, this isn’t as bad as it looks,” considering that was an awfully lot of blood seeping through her shirt, it probably was as bad as it looked.

Got about five or so replies drafted, gonna try and knock them all out. 

Sorry for the absence, been focusing on bxdxpples to get it going and had a different project I’ve been working on that’s taken up my time

He hummed, chuckling. It was a little funny. Many people stayed away from them, since they were all over the news for doing pranks and messing with people. It was also pretty popular that they were known for pocket thiefing but it’s never been bad enough to actually end up in jail, sure they’ve got some problems with the police before and they’ve caught a few of them before but they’ve bailed each other out each time.

Kokichi shifted on the bench, placing his head on his knees as he watched her. Ah.. he was bored. Really bored. He needed something to do.

Blowing up his cheeks, he looked off. 

“You’re really boring, though~ You should work on that~”

"You don’t notice a boring person, you don’t remember their face, so if I’m really as boring as you say, then I’m doing something right.”

It was better to remain ‘boring’, it basically meant you were anonymous, and when you made a career out of mugging people or being hired muscle for the unsavory people in this town, the less people to recognize you on a day off was for the best. 

Besides, she doubted he’d still call her boring if he knew she lived with a literal demon.

“Have to be boring, if I stand out too much then people might be able to point me out on a police lineup for one of my thefts or fights, can’t have that happening.”

“Maybe so, but it sounds like you need to loosen up. Come on, you’re so… so serious,” or maybe he was just not serious enough. “don’t you know how to have fun? How about this, we get you out of the waters, that’ll get you to lighten up!” Cause who doesn’t love boats.

“Well, surprise-surprise, not everyone is a happy idiot like you.” Okay now you’re just being mean, Keali. “And if you even try to put me on a boat, the crew will be mopping your insides off the deck for a week.” Don’t put her on water and expect her not to go violent.
