I finally got a record player after years of wanting one! :D I got green day's Gods Favorite Band to go along with it and I'm REALLY tempted to pre-order the mania vinyl but I also really should save money haha

that’s awesome! personally, I’d go for the MANIA vinyl, but it’s your decision. enjoy your new record player!

So I grew up listening to Green Day. I knew all the words to American Idiot by the time I was six. My aunt bought me Tour shirts when I was five. I jammed out on guitar hero to their songs before the age of seven. This band has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. When I’m homesick I listen to these albums and they remind me of home. Now searching through my Aunts Green Day merch from when she was my age now (I’m sixteen, it’s been ten years for her) which isn’t that long for this band, but it feels like I was there, going to every concert, hanging the Newley bought AP magazine poster on my bedroom wall. It’s an amazing experience to have love for a band passed down from her to me. And Green Day is great, I really love them!!!!!

I'm so happy that the boys are happy! They just seem so happy and I hope they continue to be happy! I LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH!!!!!

I got to know my bff/ current roommate cause of fob! First time I met her she wore an awesome fob tank top to work and I was almost too chicken to say something to her but I'm so glad I did, we clicked instantly and even though we don't work together anymore we still go to concerts ALL the time-we've seen fob 3 times since then lol-and I just moved in with her and her bf! I just wanted to share that bc I'm really thankful that they brought us together and we're still super close!!!

I want to thank my mom for introducing me to Fall Out Boy.

I knew the words to What a Catch, Donnie before I knew who sang them. I could hum Sugar, We’re Goin Down and I never really knew where it came from.

She played those songs on roadtrips when I was a kid and they became the familiar backdrop of my childhood, along with Green Day and others.

It was amazing recognizing those songs when I started listening through entire fob albums. I had never listened to Folie à Deux or From Under The Cork Tree but I knew what a catch. I knew sugar.

When we drove up to Washington this summer to drop me off at college, we went through LA in the middle of the night. I turned on Folie and we both sang along and just let the tracks play in order. She loves Headfirst Slide, I love Disloyal Order. We both cry during What a Catch. She laughs when I try to sing both parts in 20 Dollar Nose Bleed.

I think Folie, more than anything else, reminds me of her. I hope she knows that this band means a lot to me. I hope she knows that she’s the reason they’re a part of my life. I hope she knows I love her a lot.

I think this is the greatest project!! I'm really happy rn because fob's new song is a BOP and they are the first band I ever truly loved so I'm v proud of them
