If the simple fact SHORT STACK are having a reunion tour isn’t enough to get you excited, then maybe the support slots are? FOREVER ENDS HERE, one of Sydney’s most promising pop-punk bands, will support the trio on all legs. Adelaide band DAY BREAK will pack their bags and head to Melbourne to kick of the tour. Melbourne’s own MOVE ON BE STRONG will take the spot on the second slot. Followed by CALL THE SHOTS and STAND ATLANTIC playing a Sydney show each.

CALL THE SHOTS is a young and unstoppable Australian band making a big impact on the music scene. They are young, energetic and unstoppable. they are a determined five piece band from brisbane but have already taken on the nation. After an extensive year of touring in 2013 following the release of three singles and music videos off their second EP 'When Everything Goes Wrong', everything just seems to be going right for the group, They had a national headline tour and a spot in the Vans Warped tour. There shows have been described as well delivered, well-crafted, infectious, high-energy live show from start to finish every time they hit the stage by Triple J unearthed.

They have seen the EP on the Australian Independent Records Album Charts at #17 and it debuted at #28 on iTunes. They have featured on numerous commercial radio stations such as Triple J, 2DAY FM and Triple M. The band has formed a very strong and loyal fan base that continues to grow globally.

Call The Shots have shared stages with Mest, The Wonder Years, Tonight Alive, Rufio, The Story So Far, The Getaway Plan, Simple Plan, The Offspring, New Found Glory, The Used and many more.

The 5 piece band including Josh Setterfield (on Vocals), Dion Cerreto (killing it at Guitar), Moke (on Guitar), Mitchell Taverner (Bass), and Riley Boyce (Drums), clearly have a bright future in the music industry nationally and internationally. They seem to be getting more and more momentum after each show picking up more and more fans with them as they go.

Who is the Giant Killer?

The Adelaide music scene has exploded since it found JACK THE GIANT KILLER, Any weekly Adelaide gigrat would have run into Jack the Giant Killer and would have experienced the radicalness that is Jack the giant killer! The band are an experimental metal and deathcore genre and perform with huge amounts of energy.

Jack the giant killer has taken the Adelaide music scene by storm and is predicted to be taking Australia soon. The band has party boy Andrew Denton on drums, who along with Jacob Stavropoulos (on one of the guitars) is trained in mixed martial arts or as he puts it they enjoy "a bunch of getting punched in the face and rolling around intimately with other sweaty dudes". Andrew Denton is also a vegan "Animals are mates, not meats!", he doesn't eat, wear, use or buy animal bi-products as best as he can. Aeden Cooper (on vocals) like three fifths of the band is heavily tattooed in particular has his face, head and eyelids tattooed. Jacob Stavropoulos (on first guitar) recorded his vocal track with Jeff Ling from Parkway Drive at Lings beach house in Byron Bay's recording studio. The rest of the band is Jarrod Kennett (on bass) and William Everlyn playing a second guitar.

When questioned by Inhale Music on why a Jack Daniels bottle has inspired there merchandise collection Denton gave only that the only tame answer he can give is that one night in the local karaoke bar of Mt Gambier (where tourists are known to get messy drunk), they got up on stage and did a group version of Savage Garden’s ‘To the Moon and Back’, after a bottle of Jack Daniels and that is where Jack the Giant Killer began!

Some tips from the band for getting showing them your into is not being that one guy in the middle "prancing around like an uncoordinated ballerina" and being the reason people have to leave a huge gap in the middle, no band wants to look into there people and see people worried about being punched in the face by one guy dancing uncontrollably. So save that for your living room and get up close to the band show them how you feel.

Andrew Dentons dream is to play to a big audience, he would rather do that then record with a high end artist because he thinks to get lots of people to pay to come to one of his shows is more of an achievement then to be able to pay someone's management.

Who is Rico Garilli?

Rico Garilli is a 21 year old solo artist from the Adelaide Hills in South Australia. He has been performing live for roughly four years, his sound is an enjoyable 'folk', 'Indie', 'Experimental', 'Lyrical' and has a 'Soft punk'. He has also opened for some of Australia's unsigned greats (e.g. Chasing Ghosts, Dead Joe, Ben David, The Skeleton Club, Tom J Williams (At Sunset), Young Lions, Cassie O'Grady and Wendy Icon). but his biggest show was an opening act for USA band Dance Gavin Dance. Some other of his international International supports: have been: Dance Gavin Dance (USA), Jonny Craig (USA), Tilian Pearson (USA), This Wild Life (USA), Kyle Lucas (USA), Antagonist A.D (NZ). Also his live studio EP 'sunflower.' was released in November (2013). Notable Australian supports: For Our Hero, Built On Secrets, Belle Haven, Who Invited The Wolf?, Just Like Clockwork, Day Break, Forever Ends Here, Delamare, Drawing North, Amber Calling, A Sleepless Melody, Some Time Soon, All Year Round, Soapbox Summer, The Playbook, Way With Words, Summerset Avenue, Paper Arms, The Lovely Bones, Heath Anthony, Pete Broadway, The High Collide, S Is For Spaceship, Doc Oc, Down With The Ship.

His songs are average length and consist of mainly music and minimal lyrics his songs are usually around four stanzas for example:

"i don't even feel this any more my eyes caught bleeding streams of you i want to know that this is over, stop messing with me my heart can barely find a start stop holding back from certainty be a man and fight it through play games with me and test my head i'm lost and i'm a mess instead i'm finding comfort in losing control i'm eating more, i'm fighting less these hounding ghosts of apathy they're shouting there's a life in me i'm scared of creation, tell me where do I seek i'm nearing liberation, tell me what's left in me? tell me, am I free?"

Who is DOWN WITH THE SHIP?

DOWN WITH THIS SHIP is a Adelaide South Australia based unsigned band. it is a four piece indie style rock band, the four members are Liam ( with the main vocals), Jimmy (Guitar), Jake (Bass), and Zac ( on the Drums). There genre has also been referred to as Easycore a fairly new style similar to soft core, it combines punk styles and music with metalcore, they have been praised for their well executed tag team vocals.

Together they have released a 5 track demo, all of there music is available on their SoundCloud account (here). The band regularly plays in Adelaide area sharing the stage with local bands 'S is For Spaceship', 'All Year Round' and 'Doc Oc'. Down with this ship has also played multiple times with interstate bands such as 'Masketta Falls' (originating in New South Wales), 'Emberville' (Victoria based band,) 'The Sweet Apes' (from New South Wales), and Red Beard (based in Queensland). The band also worked as a supporting act while The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus (American alternative rock heavy weights) were in Adelaide.

According to Triple J the band has a similar sound to bands like: Four year strong, A Day To Remember, Me vs Hero (who is one of there influences along with: With the Punches and Forever the sickest kids). Also found on Triple J is Down With the Ships reviews:

Seventeen Fifty Seven

Seventeen Fifty Seven are an Adelaide based four piece rock band whose sound can be only described as original with hints of being the modern versions of late 90s rockers like Michael Hutchence and Kurt Cobain and what could be better than that? The band consists of Josh Hawksworth (Vocals & Guitar), Nicholas Pipe (Guitar), Anthony Katern (Bass) and Liam Burgan (Drums). The group refer to themselves as 'misfits' and are keen to playing on stages and through speakers near you soon and I would be surprised if it took them long, after only establishing in 2010 they have already taken over Adelaide, Together they launched their debut EP on April 19, 2013, to a near-sellout crowd at Jive in Adelaide and have starred in a Punk Ass Kids show at the Rocket Dive rooftop bar. The band's first record 'colours' was produced by ARIA-nominated Matt Hills and sold only at their shows along with the rest of their new and upcoming merchandise line.

The band now has five songs (Colours, My soul low, Sixers, Eight legs and 5 years old, and Jack Rabbit) each receiving great reviews all of which can be heard here. Some of the reviews seen on their Triple J Unearthed profile are: "The Light that is "Seventeen Fifty Seven" has shone upon the musical prism, producing "Colors", a Kaleidoscopic Rapture!" from AHawk, another review says "There are only a few bands in the world who make me feel so happy when I listen, The Kooks; The Wombats; Cream; Led Zeppelin; and Seventeen Fifty Seven. These men are amazing in every way". Seventeen Fifty Seven are clearly pleasing their rapidly growing audience.
