One thing about me is that I love bangel when they’re in a romantic relationship, I love bangel when they’re broken up, I love bangel when they’re domestic, I love bangel when they fight, I love bangel when they’re jealous, I love bangel when they’re tender, I love bangel when they’re petty, I love bangel when they’re supportive, I love bangel when they show up for each other, I love bangel when they’re vampire and slayer, I love bangel when they’re just a girl and a guy, I love bangel when they’re heros and put the world above each other, I love bangel when they would kill someone for each other, I love bangel when they’ve moved on but then they see each other again and all the feelings they thought were buried come flooding back, I love bangel when they don’t pretend that they don’t love each other, I love bangel when they compare ever other love interest to each other, I love bangel when they experience perfect happiness together and Angel loses his soul, I love bangel when he’s evil and she has to kill him, I love bangel when he’s evil and he can’t kill her, I love bangel when he’s evil and she can’t kill him, I love bangel when they break up and get back together in season 3, I love bangel before they get together and they’re doing a cute will they won’t they, I love bangel when they’re fully a couple and each other’s person. I love bangel when they don’t know how to handle a situation and sometimes handle it badly, I love bangel when they disagree about things, I love bangel when they have a deep inherent understanding of each other, I love bangel when they talk out their issues almost immediately, I love bangel when they’re literally just trying their best.

Like I just love that shit in every iteration, every era, every scene, every storyline. I love it so much just give me LINE OF IT!

I love how literally every character who ever sees Buffy and Angel interact is immediately Cursed with the knowledge that they are soulmates who will never be over each other. Almost no one is happy about it and a lot of them would do almost anything for it to not be true but it just... is. It's so obviously, overwhelmingly true that denying it would just feel too ridiculous even to characters with a vested interest in believing otherwise-- like every single one of their other love interests. It's honestly so funny, especially when there's a mix of characters who Know and characters who Don't (even if it's been explained to them, the never really Know until they witness it), because there's this gigantic, awkward, tragic, deeply inconvenient elephant in every room that only some of them can see.
