The Relationship between Katerina and Christopher is a bittersweet friendship as Christopher met Katerina while he was on tour in New York. Originally from Dundalk, Ireland where he lived with his wife who passed, he goes on tour to New York every year and meets up with Katerina. Things changed on their fifth anniversary of meeting when Christopher was late due to traffic from JFK airport and Katerina wasn’t home as her work day had just started. Katerina worked in the Trade Centre in New York for a firm, today she was in a big board meeting taking minutes. This was the 9th September 2001. Miraculously Katerina survived but is completely dependent on oxygen machines to help her live, she also has vivid nightmares which wake her up by her own screams or tears most nights. By the time she was discharged from the hospital Christopher knew Katerina could not live alone so moved in with her in his own room and whenever Katerina has a nightmare he wakes her up and soothes her back to a peaceful sleep muttering the words “we are safe and sound again”
