this is the best description of life ive ever seen. death almost becomes beautiful after a life enriched with how you wish to live it. sometimes even disgustingly evil things can be viewed a beautiful if you find the right perspective.

book: "Nineteen-Eighty-Four" by George Orwell

genre: dystopian, political fiction

current thoughts: im on chapter 5! even though i know people have different views on this book and its quite controversial, but i'm really enjoying it. it really brings to life the theme of control and freedom in everyday life using a controlling dystopian society where the characters are continuously watched by "Big Brother" a party leader, and makes you think about society today. im finding there are some unexpected links between our current society and society in the book. what are your thoughts?

there's something about the classical piece "la petite fille de la mer" that fills me with a feeling of bittersweet. it feels like welcoming death willingly, as if you have no fear of it. it feels like losing your favourite toy as a child only to remember it later on in life and long for it despite it having no use now. ive heard nothing that will ever beat that piece. its beautiful.
