Future Leader Development Program (FLDP) Wahana Artha Honda 2013 - PART 1
thank you for coming here.. i'd like to share my experience applying on this position (Future Leader Development Program in Wahana Artha Honda).
At first, i went to Kompas Karir Fair 2012 about couple of months ago in Balai Kartini (for those who attended this event, might remembered that this company opened their booth there). I found this booth, filled the form, then the HR staff handed off a piece of interview invitation to "psikotest" on the next monday. i never guessed that it would be the bright opportunity for me.for your information, i graduated from international relations studies in the one private university in Jakarta.
on the next monday, i attended the test. just like another psikotest, jobseekers faced various tests such as Kraeplin, Drawing a Person, Drawing a Tree, etc. Right on the next week after test, the HR invited me to do interview with them. unfortunately, i could not come due to my yudisium, so i asked for reschedule.
about 1-2 weeks after, they contacted me again, invited me to do interview. what a bored day it was, the jobseekers came at 8 o'clock but the HR held the interview at 1 p.m ! actually, they just want to see our responses LOL
ah, then it is my turn to enter the room.. before i sat, they asked my name while looking at my CV and my test result. one of them suddenly asked about WHAT DOES BERAGAMA MEANS HERE (talking about my university). i explained them in a good manner (since i was the former chairperson of international relations students association in my campus, i know quite much about that XD). after that, they laughed and asked me to have a sit. another people there asked me a very difficult question (for those who can't lie, just follow what i did there),
I: "if on the same day, in the same time, you already accepted by Kemenlu and Honda.. which one do you prefer at most (to sign the contract) ?"
Me: uhmm.. it is difficult to say... i choose Kemlu.
Me: because there are many benefits i will get by working for government
I: who said? really? don't you know that private company also give so many facilities and benefit for the employer?
Me: Yeah i know (actually, i wanted to answer i have no passion to work in a government). actually, i am still confused about it, because my family suggested me to apply in kemlu or other administration.
I: so, what do you want at most?
Me: i want to develop my career !
I: there you go.. that's the answer. if it is your ambition, private company is the answer of your aim. in the state company, you can't achieve it, except you continue your studies (master or doctoral degree) and you have to have many links and influential people in the body. On the other hand, in the private company, if you can develop yourself well, you can reach the top position in only 2-3 years!
she also asked which position and department i am interesting in, then she added some suggestions for me.
i leave the room then had a little talk with another jobseekers.
the interview held not more than 10 minutes actually, indeed. this is the fastest time among others! many of them were asked about their personalities, their careers, any other thing about them.
i quite felt awkward because the interviewer don't asked that much. i thought (maybe) my personality has been drawn clearly or maybe, they did not interested with me because i choose Kemlu rather than Honda.
but you know, this evening, i got a call from Honda that invite me to an interview with the board of directors (BOD) on the next tuesday !
yeah..all i can learn from this case is that in an interview, just be yourself and honestly answer the question, and don't forget.. pray to GOD and ask for parents prayers :p
woahh.. can't wait to do the interview..
