The collective Pokémon’s #1 Apologist, I am a guy who loves video games. Some favorite franchises of mine include Kirby, Pokémon, Wario, Pikmin, Mario RPGs (especially Paper Mario), Etrian Odyssey, and Resident Evil, among others. Also been on a bit of a Bug Fables kick for a while now.
Back in 2022, @akuma74 posted about a dream he had, where Deadlanders broke into Bugaria and the good guys had to join forces with the Wasp King to fight them off. I thought this idea was really cool and I asked akuma if I could make a little fic based on it. He said yes, and what I proceeded to write on-and-off over the next year+ was, like, over 20,000. I like it, though, hopefully akuma also likes it and hopefully you lot like it too.

Hello, I am Raneen from Gaza with my three children, Mohammed Rami and Julia 🇵🇸🍉. We have fled from one place to another, living in constant fear amidst severe shortages of food and medicine, hoping only to survive this brutal war. Please help me save my children from hunger and diseases. My daughter Julia suffers from severe chest allergies and the smells and residues of smoke have made things worse. She needs treatment and to live in a clean environment. We are suffering a lot. You can support my campaign by donating whatever you can or by sharing my posts to reach others who can help us survive the war to safety and peace. You are helping lives. Every donation makes a difference in our very difficult lives.🍉🙏🏻

I wish happiness and good health for your whole family. I hope you all can get the help you need and for your situation overall to improve greatly.
Hello everyone, I am in urgent need of your help. I am asking you to support me and my family by donating so that we can reach the amount needed to travel to Egypt, where it is safe. Please help us—we are at risk of death every day, and your support is the only thing that might save us. There are no signs of life left here: no food, no clean water, and bombings everywhere. We have lost hope of survival. Please, you are our only hope. Share the link if you cannot donate. Thank you so much for your help.

May each and every member of your family be saved, may you all reach a happier, safer state than the one you're in now. You all deserve comfort.
I never imagined I would be reaching out like this. My family and I have lost everything — our home, safety, and sense of normalcy. Now, we’re living in a tent, struggling every day to meet even our most basic needs.
If you’re in a position to help, your support for my fundraising campaign would mean more than words can say. Together, we can take steps toward a safe and secure future.
With all gratitude,
Abdelhadi 🇵🇸❤️

Man...I've been doing this a while, huh?...Time well-spent :>
This was pretty hard, honestly. I'm super happy I was able to get every day done, even if I was wonky on doing them on the specific days. In all honesty I did get this one done yesterday, I just failed to upload it. But, uhh, I did it! Hopefully you lot enjoyed what I made too, and whatever the case I hope you had a happy halloween and have a beautiful November!
(Also yes that black butterfly is my sona, I'm not sure I've talked about him much here, if at all, but yeah.)
Ah, this one was fun to think about. I've got to say, I think I did way better with all the writing I made for this Bugtober compared to last one (which was a few years ago but still). Happy to see how far I came in that regard. Hopefully you lot enjoy this too, either the writing or the drawing or both! Have a lovely day regardless.
(Story under the Keep Reading)
In the land of Arthrope, at the cheery Tempo Town, there was a fun, eerie festival being held. Called the “Shadow Shindig” it was a day to play around with the scariest ideas, and have fun in spite of what kinds of terrors the world may throw at you. Arthrope lived in harmony with the natural world but still had reasons to fear it, and the Shindig served to remember that fear while not allowing it to hold anyone down. Bugs large and small sang and dance and ate, many wearing costumes of creatures they found scary. Nymphs and the newly pupated played games and snacked around hollowed-out vegetables that towered over them, and decorations made of dead wood and huge stones dotted the town. In the middle of this was Leap, a Butterfly that took a break from trying to sell for once and gave himself a chance to enjoy himself. The bug ran and jumped around, perhaps on a bit of a sugar rush, paying no heed to how unusual he looked, or what direction he was going in.
Leap: Whee! Waha! Wahay! Yahoo! Hooray! Woa-OOF!
Leap’s leaping was interrupted when he jumped into the big, fluffy belly of his Uncle Yeller, who was at a stand selling treats and art supplies.
Uncle Yeller: Woah! Careful there, son!
It took Leap a minute to pull himself out of his uncle’s fluff, but when he did he waved “hello” like nothing happened.
Yeller: Hehe, I think it may be best to ease up on the sweet stuff a little. It’s tasty but too much makes ya hyper.
Yeller chuckled lightly and rubbed his nephew’s head, very quickly making him feel a bit better.
Leap: Uncle Yeller…why aren’t you having fun?
Yeller: Selling is fun, boy!
Leap: No, it is! I just meant, like, you’re not playing or eating or anything. Are you alright?
Yeller: Of course, Leap, but you know me. I always like getting a few more berries when and where I can. Can never go wrong with a bit more income.
Leap: Yeah, absolutely! I just think it’d be fun if we did stuff together. Family activities and stuff, y’know?
Yeller: Aww, Leap…
Yeller wrapped an arm around Leap and pulled him closer lovingly.
Yeller: I know…Say, if Mortia’s available, maybe the three of us can do something? She’s not technically family, but-
Leap: Uncle Yeller, she’s family enough! I know you like her a whole lot!
Yeller: (blushing slightly) Now, Leap, you don’t gotta say so much so loud!
Leap: Haha!...Man…
Yeller: Something wrong, son?
Leap:...Wonder where Cole and Christine are…
All of a sudden the two got quiet, and Yeller scratched his head whilst trying and failing to respond.
Leap: Uncle Yeller…they were doing okay, right? When you last saw them?
Yeller: Hm? Of course, Leap! Your siblings are…they’re doin’ fine. Helped ‘em take inventory a couple weeks ago.
Leap: Mm…did they talk about me?
Yeller:...I-
Leap: N-n-never mind, sorry to ask.
Yeller: L-Leap, never apologize for asking anything!
Leap:...
Yeller: Y-You can even ask about my weight, I won’t be offended, ha! Ha ha!...
Leap:...
Yeller’s attempt at lightening the mood seemed to fail, and so he and Leap sat in further silence for a moment. When Leap started whispering to himself Yeller couldn’t help but listen in.
Leap:[...Maybe they’re…not so upset anymore…probably not…]
Yeller: You, uh, sayin’ somethin’?
Leap: Oh! I, just…um…would you be okay with asking Cole and Christine…if we could…hang out some time?
Yeller:...Ah, Leap…
Yeller: Thought about Leap’s siblings, their situation with him, and was all but dumbfounded on what he could possibly respond to his question with.
Yeller:..If I find the time…I can.
Leap hugged his uncle, and Yeller hugged his nephew in kind.
Leap: Thanks a ton, Uncle Yeller. You’re the best.
Yeller: Leap…
The hug was interrupted by a whistle from a nearby bug. Leap and Yeller looked to their side and saw a death’s head hawkmoth smiling at them, holding a tiny pumpkin in her arms.
Yeller: Mortia, hello!
Mortia: Pardon me for interrupting, boys, but I just finished growing the cutest, littlest gourd there is and thought of two butterflies that’d appreciate carving it with me.
Leap: Oh boy! I’d love to do that, Aunt Mortia, let’s-
Mantis: Uhh, pal?
The three looked to their other side to see a mantis come holding a hammer and a knife, looking at Leap funny.
Mantis: Did you wanna be commemorated or not? You gotta come and carve your name in with the other winners.
Leap: Oh shoot, I forgot!
Leap got up and waved to his uncle and “aunt” as he ran back to the where the game is played, the mantis following him and shaking their head.
Leap: Bye Uncle Yeller, bye Aunt Mortia!
Yeller: See ya, Leap!
Mortia: Wish you well, love!
Once he was out of view Mortia moved closer to Yeller and quieted herself.
Mortia: I really am sorry, Yeller, I hope I didn’t interrupt anything serious.
Yeller: Eh, you’re alright. Me and the boy just had a…chat.
Mortia: A serious one?
Yeller: Yyyyyyeah…
Mortia: Mm. May I snoop and ask what it was about?
Yeller:...His brother and sister.
Mortia: Ugh, them.
Yeller: Hey, that’s-
Mortia: Family, I know, I know. Again, I apologize.
Yeller:...Yer alright…Why’s that pumpkin so small, anyway? Is it fully grown?
Mortia: Oh, yes! It is so bizarre, I expected something bigger but I think the batch it came from was odd in general. There were a few other mutations and…
So the two chatted and chatted as the night went on.
