A Documentary Follows the Curious Career of Maurizio Cattelan

A raucous trailer is making the rounds for an upcoming feature-length documentary about the artist, the result of more than a decade of filming of Mr. Cattelan in action, pre- and post-retirement, by the director Maura Axelrod. Ms. Axelrod is a globetrotting journalist who has covered war and other tough subjects for ABC News and other news organizations. But she turned her attention to Mr. Cattelan after meeting him at a party and getting to know his work, which mixes Surrealist whimsy with a darkly comic view of life in the 21st century.
