Tbh, I feel that Yana wastes Bard’s potential. I’m seeing how she treats him vs wolfram and I hate how she doesn’t delve deep into how he feels or how he suffered from the war. Bard faces ptsd, he lost his whole platoon and he literally has a story to tell. I’m not saying she has to write him as always being sad and angsty but I’d love to see him talking to finny or mey rin about his ptsd or how he feels just so he can get his emotions out. Instead she spends so much time making him comic relief and or making him piss Sebastian off. The only other times he isn’t like that is when the house or ciel is in danger and he spends time fighting. Wolfram was literally a joke at first but after a while we got to see a more complex side of him and learn more about him. And he was an ex-soldier.

I wish we had that for Bard. Bard is so interesting to me and he has a backstory. He literally was so close to death and on the battle field he was at the lowest point of his life. I had hate he’s just written off as a joke. Don’t get me wrong, I love that he’s funny. I just wish there was more to him than being funny (and being serious on rare occasions). Like I yearn for more of development and complexity for him and all of the servants.
