A drunk girl at a bar I was at became worried that I wasn’t getting enough nutrition and proceeded to hold peanuts to my lips and just keep saying “peanut peanut” until I would eat it. And after I allowed her to feed me a peanut she pet my hair and said “Thank you”.

All that said, though, if your first question when someone says “We need to provide houses and food for our people, that’s a basic human right.” is “But how will we pay for it?” You’ve already lost. There are more empty houses than there are homeless people. Preventative medicine costs less than state-paid emergency healthcare. We have advanced technologically such that we grow (and waste) enough food to feed every single human being on the planet. That you have assigned a value to these things, that every human being is entitled to, is a failing of your own (and society’s) ideology, and not a question of “how much it costs.”
