It’s not that I don’t like visitors. I like visitors as much as the next Hobbit. But I do like to know them before they come visiting. The thing is, I don’t know either of you. Not in the slightest. I don’t mean to be blunt, but I had to speak my mind.

This had all been a hectic few months, and Bilbo had noticed quite a change in his fellow Dwarven-King. It wasn’t the same sort he had seen of the other, before the battle, but something far worse. The agitation in the other’s gaze, in his voice, and to one day find him not in the throne room? Or even his personal quarters, that was deserted. So, he took it upon himself to wander and hope he didn’t find something too gruesome as what his mind imagined. The man did see so much. I just hope he’s not still too terribly upset...? His feet carried him to the golden chambers of the vast hoard, and his instincts were screaming at him to turn away...? As on edge as he might be, Bilbo knew he had to press on, and find his friend.
