Get rad, break boundaries
Two different jamming styles:
Gotham- Bonnie Thunders attacks a seam and takes larger lateral steps (seriously, look at that step) which disengages her from the blockers allowing her to either hit a different seam or take a line if it looks open. She uses the seam to turn, drive, and gain distance.
VRDL- Christy Demons is a little more lateral. Forcing the wall to constantly readjust. Watch her footwork as she turns, thatâs all edges!

Such perfectly time offense. Here is how:
1. Let your jammer know that you are setting up to play O. Offense is only helpful when your jammer can see it, a friendly wave helps as demonstrated here by Screw Barrymore.
2. Get loaded, O is about timing and movement so your body has to be ready to push & drive.
3. Get those blockers moving! You want to move them enough that you are also out of your jammerâs way. In this case, laterally but a forward drive can be effective as well.

With its revolutionary new policy, the Women's Flat Track Derby Association could teach other leagues a few things about inclusion.
