The Ellis family has long since moved out of York, and so Richard decides his evening off would best be spent assisting the Downton servants in staging a coup against his own colleagues. If he happens to charm the butler in the process, well. That's a complete coincidence.

We have two days of Barrisember left, including today! As long as the event hasn't been officially concluded and the AO3 collection closed, there is still time to participate! And the event will not be concluded as long as it's Dec 14th somewhere. 🌜💙🌛
Thomas's hands are shaking so badly that he's struggling to read what he's holding. He places it in front of himself on the desk and smooths it out repetitively, as if the mild creases were the problem.
He starts again from the top and once he's got to the end, he reaches for a sheet of paper, but he doesn't pen a reply. He writes to Richard.
Time flies, and so there is, alas, only one week until Barrisember ends. However, looking on the bright side of life, that means there is still one week of Barrisember left! 🌜💙🌛
