He knew better than to people watch, it was an invasion of privacy. He was told that a couple times by his friends but he couldn’t help but pause for the fight and watch. wondering if he should butt in if the lady went for the weapon. “I don’t think we should get involved unless it gets violent.” Superboy replied, glancing over at the other. 

“That is true,” Barry responded, agreeing with the other male. There were limitations on the issues they should meddle in and marital issues are private issues so they needed to make the fine line decision of whether or not they should jump in. The couple soon stormed into an alleyway and Barry casually followed, entering the same alleyway on full alert that he would need to take some action. However, upon landing his eyes on the couple who were now making out in private, he couldn’t help but release a small chuckle and shook his head once before looking at the other male. “I don’t think we’d like to get involved in that.”

     Wally stood beside Barry, arms crossed over his chest as he watched the couple going after each other.  “Who knows,” he shrugged at the other, his eyes not moving from the pair in front of them. “She looks like she’s ready to rip his head off. Do you think she’ll try to?” He asked, narrowing his eyes as he looked at the woman, her shouting growing louder as the fight continued. “What’s the plan if this gets worse?” The speedster asked, finally breaking his gaze and glancing at Barry. 

Barry didn’t speak of an answer to Wally’s question if she’ll try to do more harm than just her verbal abuse to her husband, and simply released a smirk while slowly shaking his head towards the bickering couple. “If this gets worse...” Honestly, he didn’t what to do; they may be able to prevent anything from happening right at the very moment but they were married and lived in the same house so they wouldn’t be able to control that side of it. “I’m just hoping it wouldn’t. She’s heart-broken... actually, both of them are heart-broken than anything.” Barry took in a breath as he watched the woman’s knees weaken at the height of emotion experienced and fell into her husband’s arms, holding on to him tightly. “She loves him too much; she wouldn’t be able to do it.” He simply said with a shrug, getting his interpretation on the basis of the power of love and nothing else because most of the time that was more than enough. “Let’s go.”  Barry then continued, patting Wally on his shoulder once before proceeding down the pavement.

  🦸·♀️ kara lands in front of the only open coffee shop in gotham. judging from the outside, the coffee is probably going to be the worst she’s ever tasted. shrugging and deciding to still go for it, she pushes the door open, knocking someone backwards as she does. “i’m so sorry!” she needs to get better at paying attention. “i didn’t see you behind the door. can i buy you a coffee or muffin to make up for my klutziness?” kara asks, looking up at them.

Barry was on a casual night out for coffee; he’s been on a current one day break from the let’s save the world mind-set and it was the perfect timing since nothing has arisen to cause any worries, and it was unlikely since it was nearing midnight, but then again, they are in Gotham. Deciding it was time to go home, he didn’t think anyone would be entering the coffee shop at this time and was on his phone. However, he felt a quick but rather powerful force from the sudden opening of the door that made him step back and he was on defense mode in a flash which was soon replaced but gladness at the sight of who it was. “Ever so clumsy Ms. Kara Danvers...” Barry softly greeted with a smirk, happy to see her after quite some time.

It would be hypocritical to judge him for it, when he also have used his powers a few times in public without his suit on, because he had no other choice. He would prefer to be exposed a thousand times, than letting something bad happen to anyone. He would always put other people first, as his life and his well being, would never be more important to him, at least not anymore. He was not the selfish and spoiled prince that he used to be, “I understand that, and it is very noble of you,” he decided not to tell him about his own powers, he knew that he just showed him what he could do, but Mon preferred to be careful, as despite his good deed, he was still not sure whether he could trust him or not, “Oh, wait, I remember you,” suddenly, the memories popped up in his mind, “I met you before, it’s me, Mon-El, I’m Kara’s ex.”

“Noble...” Barry released a small snicker at the thought of being called noble since that was the first time he has heard that and no way does he think that word defines him. “But thanks.” Of course, he appreciated that the other male went out of his way to compliment him and genuine kindness is always welcome. Arriving at the burger joint, he scanned through the menu and then ordered a ‘Stuffed Smokey Black Bean Veggie Burger’ before turning his head to the male who previously recalled him, “Ah, you’re the guy who kissed her a lot.” Barry jokingly quoted him from that one time they met before releasing a soft chuckle. “So that means you do know who I am since you brought Kara to me one time, and so I did not exactly risk myself from showing my powers cause from what I can remember you weren’t a bad guy.” He then said before stretching out his back for a second and took a seat on the stool, waiting for the orders.

“Oh it’s never ending, you can tell by how they are just so unaffected by the splew of insults leaving their mouths. It’s a daily occurrence.” Zatanna shook her head. She really hoped it would never come down to that for her. She didn’t think she could stomach the thought. “We could say something? It’s technically disturbing the peace and honestly, I’m just sick of hearing them argue.”

“Oh, well...” Barry returned to a relaxed stance, arms folded and resting over his chest as he leaned against the pillar, “I highly doubt you would need me when you go talk to them. I do believe in your mediation skills. Now go save the world with your mouth.” He teasingly said although he wouldn’t be able to help it if he was given a small nudge.

His eyebrow raised when he saw the other use his powers out in the open like that. Talk about being bold, but then again, he was so fast, that he doubted anyone saw him. He must be a speedster, he heard about them, and how fast they were. He didn’t think that he ever actually met one though, but heard about the flash, he wondered if he was him, or if he was another, but asking him about it, was probably not a good idea, right? They just met, but then again, he did use his powers in front of him, “Bold of you to use your powers out in the open like that,” especially when Gotham was the way that it was, how dangerous it was, “Probably shouldn’t do it though. I don’t know if you noticed, but the city is a chaos, if anyone finds out you have powers, it could get you into trouble,” he had a secret identity for a reason, it was safer that way. That way, villains wouldn’t use anything in his personal life against him, wouldn’t use his loved one against him, “Clearly,” he was not an expert in relationships, he had just two in his life, but it was not hard to realize that their marriage was unhealthy. They needed to get help, “That would be lovely, yeah, I feel like I could eat a hundred of those right now.”

With his speed, it was highly unlikely that he was seen performing his ability to a normal civilian unless one is a fellow individual with superpowers; he’s had his mishaps before, but prevention of anything escalating is better or easier than containing it. “Well, I learned you gotta take some risks to prevent, even just for one percent, of anyone from getting hurt. Which does get me in trouble a lot of times... but it’s okay.” Barry explains with a shrug; after years of coming to terms with his abilities, he understood his duty that he needed to make use of it for the betterment of people and upholding some sort of peace and justice wherever he was. Walking towards the burger joint, he glanced up at the gotham skies and released a heavy sigh before raising his brows with a small smile at the other male, “Barry Allen.” He simply said, reaching his hand out to him.

When the man talked to him, he looked in the direction that he was talking about, he was able to see the scissors, so it worried him. Now he would be alert and prepared, in case she tried to do anything with it. He wasn’t sure what they were arguing about, but no matter what it was, he refused to let her harm the man in any way, “You’re right, the wife is definitely the one that we have to worry about,” he figured that the other also noticed the pointy object. He would hate having to use his powers without being dressed in his suit, but he would do it if he had to, “Maybe we should stop them, I would hate if one of them ended up being hurt.”

If anything, Barry was very reliable when it came to perfect timing. He was still on the edge of whether they should interfere with the marital conflict going on, so he still wanted to wait until necessary measures were needed to be done. “Let’s wait it out...” He responded, carefully anticipating if there were any physical altercations that can arise from the bickering. Barry bit down on his lesser lip, slightly narrowing his eye as the female reached out for her back pocket but retracted her action once more. He released a light chuckle and glanced back to the other male before returning his eyes on the couple. Soon enough, it seemed as if some reconciliation have been found as rather than bickering, public display of affection was currently happening. “Well... just to make sure.” Within a snap of a finger, he managed to retrieve the scissor from the wife’s back pocket and was back to Mike’s side, casually throwing the scissors inside the bin beside them. “They don’t need us, they need a marriage counselor.” Barry jokingly commented before nodding to the restaurant across the street. “How about let’s get that burger we came out for, ey?”

Barry crossed his arm over his chest, brow quirked as a middle-aged couple bickered through adultery issues. He glances at the individual beside him, a light scoff through his nose and a chuckle following his words, “How long you think they’ll be going at it?” It was amusing to watch and this was evident in his lit up features, but he allowed his limbs to fall to his sides ready to step in, “I think it’s the wife we should worry about.” Not that marital issues are something they should meddle in, but the woman had a pair of scissors in her back pocket that he’s seen her reach out for in instances of extreme frustration.
