I hope so too! It seems like things are really focusing on Charity though so we'll see.

I'm not super surprised of course because Charity is the A-tier character of this plot while Ross and Mack are more like B-tier characters, but I hoped after last year they might get at least a bit of focus before the secret explodes.

But who knows when that will be.

I love Caleb's reaction to the flirting too. He, Charity, and Mack give me such chaotic bi vibes.

One out of three being canon seems like something the show should work on.

Tbf, I never think Laurel is boring. Charlotte is a fantastic actress, and Mike can have chemistry with a block of wood. It seems like they actually have an unexpected spark.

As for Robron, I think they're just long in the tooth now so there's no real incentive to try.

I just cant fathom why Ross isn’t having a secret affair with Mack, it’d make so much more sense before the Leyla bombshell! They should of had him hooking up with Gabby then he gets with Mack

Get us in that writers' room!

But seriously, I have been kind of thinking about it. It feels to me that the show wanted to add more stakes to the Leyla bombshell, so they've spun up this relationship out of nowhere so that Ross has someone to act hurt, confused, etc. once the secret comes out.

I find the idea it was meant to Steph quite compelling though. I could see the logic in her coming back, reuniting with Ross who keeps this massive secret from her, and then another betrayal of trust (like Manpreet last year) when it comes out. Plus, any kind of awkwardness or tension coming from Ross wanting to be a dad to Leyla and having to reshuffle his priorities and Steph feeling left out as a result.

It should have been Mack, since there were pre-existing stakes there already, and they could have built on that. Though Mack would have had to fall out with Charity again for it to work, since affairs don't typically start out of nowhere.

And maybe that would have detrimental to the story they're trying to tell of Charity's betrayal, since she would also have been a hurt party if Mack and Ross started an affair behind her back.

Which I personally think would have been excellent and added to the drama but clearly the show doesn't agree. I think it's a bit silly though since Mack and Ross' friendship has gone on the backburner as a result of the writers clearly running out of ideas for them, so it's kind of hard to care about how the baby reveal will affect their relationship when we don't see it.

Of course, the real issue is probably that the writers don't see either Ross or Mack (or both) as bi, which I personally am offended by lmao.

They're really missing out not going there.

RIGHT. Smh that we've barely had any Mackross since the baby's birth.

I assume that's to come though once the truth of the paternity comes out. Idk if adding Laurel to the mix is strictly necessary but maybe they didn't know what else to do with Mackross to heighten the drama.
