I’ll be graduating soon enough, and then I’ll be moving out. There’s no reason to try to bond with me now. And if you’re trying to bond with your other kids, charity work isn’t the way to do it.
All the more reason to do it now.

When have we been a family that spends “quality time” together?
Never a bad time to start.
Yes, it is a bad time to start, actually.
Enlighten me, why is that?

Exactly. I’ve been to the soup kitchen in the summer, they need way more help than they get.
Maybe we can go this summer and help out.
I’m sure Cheri would appreciate your help.
I’ll even drag Cooper with me.
Teriffic. Family. Yay.
What do you have against spending time with family?

Why do people start doing more stupid shit around the holidays?
Because it’s a horrible time of year for humanity.
You make a good point.
Everyone decides it’s time to be charitable and do good deeds, without realizing that volunteering at a soup kitchen a couple of nights during a very small period of time each year doesn’t actually make them a good person if they’re assholes the other 10 months of the year.
Not to mention it's when everyone else decides to volunteer and soup kitchens often don't need help during those times. If they truly wanted to he half decent people, volunteer during the rest of the year.

basandersmythe:
It really doesn’t, it just increases my workload and makes me cranky.
Well it’s not more acceptable in the eyes of the law, just in the eyes of society. People love seeing all that stupid stuff happening on Twitter and all that.
Fight with your families, do something stupid and reckless that will ruin your holidays, fine. But if what you're doing is stupid or reckless enough to get sued, a line has been crossed.

You could always stay there instead, it’s not like you’d be missed.
Trust me, if I thought I could get away with uprooting my family and moving us to France, I would in a heartbeat. I came here for school, I did not plan on spending the rest of my life here.
theoneandonlykurt-ha:
Yeah, I can’t argue with that. It’s probably best for everyone when you fall off the grid.
If I didn’t go back home every once in awhile, I’d ask you to stay in Paris the next time you’re there.
theoneandonlykurt-ha:
Cute. Talk to me when your own line of clothing hits the runway in Paris during fashion week.
See, I would, but I don’t actually care enough to keep in contact with you if I don’t have to.
theoneandonlykurt-ha:
Right, because I forgot the amazing Sebastian Smythe is the only one who can have a successful career around here.
You might be a bit late to learn but at least you’re catching on.
theoneandonlykurt-ha:
To be honest, it probably wasn’t wise for me to take the week off with my new line having just landed, but family is family so my phone is officially switched off.
I promise you, it would not have been ringing if you left it on.

Well the other day he kind of wasn’t looking very good. He also called me and when I got home, he was having trouble breathing and all.
Motherfucker. Was it hospital bad? I don’t want to drag him back there if it isn’t necessary.
