If you invited someone over specifically so you could cook them a special meal, and they showed up with ten pounds worth of “appetizers” in the form of meatballs, cocktail weenies, cold shrimp, chips and dip and a veggie tray to enjoy “before the main course” would you be upset?

Especially since he asked if I wanted him to bring anything and I said no, that I was looking forward to cooking for him for once?

There isn’t even any room in the kitchen for me to make my special meal anymore.

There was a teacher about a month ago who told me that I didn’t know anything because I’m “just an assistant.”

That same teacher administered the WRONG test to her students and now none of them are getting credit for the course they took. They are required to pass the 2019 version of the final to get credit. She gave them the 2016.

And I’m the idiot?

I texted his father on November 30th, asking if he was going to come through with the gift he told me in August he was going to get him.

Then I texted him yesterday because Christmas is in less than a week and we still haven’t received it.

Let me just say, it had better get here before Christmas. If you’ve had it for a month, why wait until the last minute to send it?

I made little fruit Grinch heads for our “Bring a Christmas Treat” to work day tomorrow.

I am slightly more thrilled about the stupid little fruit kabobs than I deserve to be.

My ex-husband came down in August of this year for the first time in eight and a half years to see my son.

While he was down here, he promised my son that he would be back in October. He didn’t show up. Then he called and promised he would be back at the beginning of December. He just texted me to tell me that he wouldn’t be back then and he’s not sure when he will be able to come back again.

I wish he would just stay away instead of breaking promises to come.

My hip has been hurting me ever since I woke up this morning. It is absolutely unbearable now that I am trying to sleep.

Any tips for how to sleep through this?

I woke up this morning and my left hip said hey, remember that we are going to be in our mid-thirties this week? Won’t that be fun? Let me prepare you by hurting for NO REASON except that you slept slightly less than ideally last night.

I had two minor dental surgeries in the last week. One last Wednesday and one today. Both the same thing (think a super extra feel cleaning deep below the gum line.) but they could only do one half of my mouth at a time. They did the right half last week and the left half today.

Last week, as soon as the numbing wore off, I was completely fine. No discomfort. Nothing. That was about 7pm.

Tonight? It’s 9pm and the numbing still hasn’t worn completely off and the parts that have worn off HURT like a motherfucker. I’m in a lot lot lot of pain tonight and there is only so much I can do for it.
