Headcannon:
Florent has Albinism. His white hair at his young age is very unnatural otherwise. Most others could just have dyed hair or be old, but there's no way too dye hair white. For that, you'd have to bleach it, and even then it's not perfectly white. Most others with greyscale hair are likely in their 50s-60s, like Manfred and Damon Gant.
It would also make sense for his character to have a psychical "deformity" to further his attempts at being beautiful. His makeup hides that deep down, he's a "freak", both behaviorally and possibly in a psychical sense. It would also give him more motives to hide his true face, as albinism is pretty rare, and not usually portrayed as a beauty standard. He'd want to hide it for fear of being mocked as well, because he works in a town based on suspicion, and from what
I've researched, in some places albino people are killed because their body parts have "mystic powers". That may not completely translate to Ace Attorney, but the townsfolk of Ninetales Vale may think Florent was a yokai if he revealed who he truly was. And yokai... don't get good treatment, to say the least.
