New Jantsen Released! feat. Dirt Monkey

New Jantsen has just released! 

If you haven't heard of him, it is time.

You may know his sounds more than his name. He is featured on many bassnectar mixtapes, including the freestyle mixtape.  He caught my attention because he loves to remix classic swing music and other styles with funky vibes.  I tend to drop his tracks in DJ sets as change up tracks to give the place a quick change in vibe, while ultimately bringing back the bass.  You'll notice his synths are full off vibrato and the vocal slicing is superb.

Check out his new releases and keep an eye out for this guy.  I am still curious why he isn't a lot bigger.

Bastille - Flaws (The Chainsmokers Remix)

If you haven't heard of The Chainsmokers yet, then I don't know what you're doing with your life. Together, Drew Taggart and Alex Pall are taking the scene by storm and you will definitely be seeing a lot of them in this upcoming year. I had the pleasure of seeing them perform at their first festival, TomorrowWorld this past year, and it was a highlight of my weekend. The two have so much energy and really know how to captivate a crowd. Their house remixes will definitely give you that feel good vibe and keep you moving. Check out their latest remix of Bastille that was released today!

Electro Light - Clearly Ft. Iain Mannix (Gill Chang Remix)

Check out this producer all the way from Auckland, New Zealand. Found him awhile back on a random Soundcloud search, but this recent remix really caught my eye. It has been on repeat for days now. He produces a lot of different types of electronic but I thoroughly enjoy his "chillstep" if you will. Enjoy!

Top Minimal: Super Flu.

Minimal Tech House.  It's dark, it's deep, the vibes are weird and it has that funky underground vibe.  It's one of my favorite genres of electronic music. It rarely comes around in the South East, but when I get a chance to go to a show, I'm on top of it.  If you've have never seen a miminal show live, you're in for a treat. 

Germany is the worlds leader in Minimal tech, and Super Flu is destroying the scene right now. Check them out exclusively here.

For all the Indie lovers out there, I stumbled upon this earlier this week and it has been on repeat. Beautiful remix of Of Monsters and Men. This twenty one year old producer from Maryland has been one of my favorite recent finds. For the hip hop lovers, check out his remix of ScHoolBoy Q’s Blessed and you’ll thank me. I was also able to find tons of other new music from his Soundcloud links so take some time to explore some new tunes, you’ll be happy you did!

You will be seeing big things from this Massachusetts duo in the upcoming year. Barely Alive had this song featured in Adventure Club's UFK Podcast this past week and it's obvious why. Never did I think I would actually enjoy a song with Justin Bieber but this remix is proof you can. A dubstep banger with a touch of that chill/hip-hop vibe, courtesy of Chance the Rapper, for your listening pleasure.

Dub Motion

Dub Motion is a 22 year old producer from South London that has an absolutely gnarly production style. The percussion is almost untouchable.  This is some of the filthiest Dubstep and DNB I've heard. Lets hope this style starts to resurface in popularity again.

Wick it - RISE OF THE FLABONGOS Mixtape

Andrew Owsley - Aka Wick it the Instigator has always been a huge influence on me, especially since we live in the same area and I've seen him play probably 50 times. Moreover, I have always been drawn in by his amazing DJ sets and killer stage presence.  It's so dope watching his understanding of Djing composition translate into really good production. 

His new mixtape is all originals and remixes and it sounds almost even better than his grade-A DJ sets. That is a bad ass accomplishment, as a DJ producer, I am here to tell you.
