Ever since I bought my ‘76 Hiwatt Custom 100 last summer I’ve always dreamed about getting a Hiwatt 4x12 cabinet as well. Though I never heard nor played my Hiwatt amp through a Hiwatt cabinet with Fane speakers I somehow knew it would sound amazing no matter what.

After a year of saving money and searching around on the internet my dream finally came true last weekend when I finally got a hold on one. I won’t go in to the buying details, but it is safe to say that this cabinet is AMAZING. It sounds deep and full without sounding muddy. It just has the most perfect EQ I have ever heard from any cabinet I ever played through.

Anyhow, about the cabinet; It’s a late '80 / early '90 cabinet manufactured in England by The Audio Brothers. It’s 300W and loaded with original 75W speakers manufactured by Fane Acoustics. Also, this cabinet is in MINT condition. The speaker grill looks like it just came out of it’s box. The tolex has a few minor dings and dongs but they are really hard to notice. I am, without a doubt, a really happy camper.

This might seem materialistic, but I am just as passionate about collecting gear as I am passionate about playing music. Collecting rare and vintage gear is just something I love doing.
