If you tell neurodivergent people they need to "get comfortable with being uncomfortable" I am putting gravel in your shoes. No you can't take the gravel out. You have to deal with it. Dealing with it makes you a better person. What do you mean "pointless suffering".
Kipperlilly using subliminal messaging through the food trucks to try and say "vote kipperlilly", except what it actually said was "✔️ K" and her opponent's name also starts with a K.
Kipperlilly trying to bottle up her anger and act normal, only really having it show when she's mocked by a group of people that don't find it threatening anyway (making her even more pissed), even though she's at an adventuring school where a good portion of the student body wouldn't be turned off by it at all.
Kipperlilly killing Buddy instead of the bad kid's proctor during the last stand, bringing him back with a rage star only for Buddy to not get the plan at all and fuck the rat grinders over when it comes to getting the name of the dead god.
Kipperlilly killing her best (and only) friend Lucy, probably assuming she'd take the deal with Porter like all the others, only for her to nearly permanently die and be half the reason the bad kids found out that Kipperlilly specifically was evil.
Kipperlilly thinking she's gaming the system in freshman year, then being pissed that "grinding" and exp farming didn't make her a world renound adventurer like the bad kids were, even though they saved Spyre three times over.
Kipperlilly assuming that because she was (maybe) higher level than the bad kids, she could beat them in combat. Yet her farming the system made it so that she had no clue how ACTUAL combat works, and put a massive target on her back from Riz because he was so mad that she hadn't fucking tried.
Kipperlilly fucking herself over time and time again in an attempt to beat people who don't know she exists in a game she has put herself into. Kipperlilly digging her own grave as she digs Lucy's. Kipperlilly thinking none of this is fair even while she misinterprets every trauma and setback the bad kids have dealt with as some advantage in adevnturing. Kipperlilly Copperkettle, how the complicated women's podcast would love you.

i'll be honest. If you can't deal with someone wording things badly then you aren't going to be an ally to autistic people or indeed anyone with a developmental disability, intellectual disability, or disability that impacts language.
also you are never going to be safe for people for whom english is their second language. if someone clarifies their meaning and apologises and you can't accept that over the original wording then don't bother pretending to be autism friendly.
and like part of my autism is that i become convinced that the way i interpret words is the way that they're meant. my autism is disabling to my communication abilities. i have poor emotional regulation, i jump to conclusions. a lot of my reactions are informed by prior negative experiences. i can and probably have been overly defensive in the past.
and i've been misinterpreted so much and had my words picked over and mocked for saying the wrong things and mocked for being unable to say anything at all and it always feels devastating. it's ironic that the same disability that has me treated poorly would have me react poorly to a similar situation, but that's just how it is.
so i'm not saying you can perfectly manage all your reactions just by trying hard enough. especially considering how much disability affects these things. but i do think if you are completely unwilling to give autistic and other DD/ID people leeway for how they word things or understand that they have a disability that impacts their communication and give us grace then you aren't a disability advocate.
Renaissance-style Link & Zelda version
and not to mention all the playthroughs. The unnecessary feelings reaction compilations never end.
If I had a nickel for every time a random person picked up ace attorney with no expectations and saw wrightworth I would have enough money to buy capcom and make 100% wrightworth canon.
just saw "the drama", so spoilers ahead, but one thing i found really interesting is how for both emma and rachel's "worst things", they both did something objectively awful, that fortunately didn't result in anyone actually getting hurt in the end......almost entirely by luck.
emma would've gone through with the shooting if another one hadn't occurred and seeing the fallout didn't snap her out of it.
rachel's actions could've resulted in that kid being hurt or even dying, it was just fortunate that he was found before any serious harm was done.
the difference is that emma knows how lucky she got, as horrible as that is to say about one of her classmates dying. emma knows how close she came to irreparably ruining her life and several other people's, and she's clearly rattled by it. rachel? rachel doesn't seem to register that what she did was wrong, let alone how much worse it could've ended.
and at the end of the day, emma chose not to go through with hurting people. don't get me wrong, she came dangerously close, she brought a weapon to school and it was down to chance that she changed her mind. but she did change her mind, and she made an effort to turn her life around and become better. rachel says she totally would've done the right thing if the kid hadn't been found quickly...but she conveniently never has to prove it. it's in the past, it all worked out more or less okay, so she gets to keep thinking that what she did was bad, but not that bad, really it was harmless, it was a stupid impulse decision but ultimately no one got hurt so, no harm no foul, right?
emma sees the worst thing a person could do and thinks, "there but for the grace of god go i." rachel sees it and thinks it could never be her.
The thing about the Drama that I have a hard time coming to terms with is the reason why Emma didn't go and commit the shooting. Everyone goes with the most uncharitable interpretation of those events; as if she didn't do it because she would no longer be "the first" one to do it in her town.
The movie shows how the shooting impacted the students at Emma's school, and Emma had to sit and take in all the reactions of those around her. The pain it caused others, how shameful it is to do such a thing, the weight of real life taken. Her not going through with it read to me less as a disappointment, and more as a wake-up call.
Before the shooting happened, her view of such events was glamorized play pretend. She was trying to make a "cool" sounding manifesto putting on silly makeup and clothes. After it happened, she was face-to-face with the real consequences that would have on the people around her, and she chose not to go through with her plan.
Charlie's interpretation of this event was the MOST uncharitable possible interpretation of how things went down and idk why his viewpoint is the one taken in this scenario.
this movie was insane. she’s the only character to have a positive outcome with their confession. she became a gun control advocate because the school’s support system worked. but everyone hated her. and sure maybe mike and rachel’s decisions were impulsive but they still harmed someone. charlie admitted to bullying his classmate, and that’s intentional! it gave misogynoir.
