Let's celebrate these 6 bad*ss ladies fighting the system
In honor of International Womenâs Day, check out these young activists doing their part to make the world a more inclusive place.
Emma GonzĂĄlez
A survivor of the recent tragedies in Parkland, Emma is at the forefront of the #NeverAgain gun control movement taking the nation by storm. But donât get it twisted âŠÂ Emma is no newbie to social justice. She is vocal about her familyâs immigrant identity and helps lead her schoolâs Gay-Straight Alliance. Repeat after me: âEmma GonzĂĄlez 2036, Emma GonzĂĄlez 2036, Emma GonzĂĄâŠâ
Blair Imani
Blair is proud of her intersectional identity as a black, queer Muslim and is passionate about gender equity. When she isnât running her education foundation for women and non-binary folks, Equality for HER, Blair can be found protesting racial injustice and police brutality. Who says you canât do it all???
Lauren Jauregui
I mean, how could I not include her on this list??? From calling out politicians on inhumane policies like the Muslim Ban to demanding protections for young undocumented Americans, this Fifth Harmony star is not afraid to use her platform to help others. Lauren J is my favorite pop-queen-turned-social-activist and I want everyone to know it!!
Alice Brown Otter
When she was just 12 years old, Alice ran 1,519 miles from the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation to Washington, D.C. to protest the Dakota Access Pipeline. If this young activist doesnât inspire us all to make impact in our communities then I donât know what will!!
Eva Maria Lewis
Eva is a brave high school student who helped to lead a sit-in protest of over 1,000 activists in Chicago to protest gun violence and police brutality. Compelled to action by the death of Trayvon Martin in 2012, Eva helped found Youth for Black Lives, a Chicago youth-led racial justice organization. Do yourself a favor and watch the chilling TED Talk she gave ⊠youâll thank me later :)
Aly Raisman
Most know Aly as an Olympic gold-medalist and member of the âFierce Fiveâ 2012 U.S. gymnastics team. Today we are celebrating her for her bravery in the #MeToo movement. Aly continues to spread messages of body positivity and encourages fellow survivors to use their voices to empower each other. We can all be more like Aly!!
Yesterday I announced my run for a city council at large seat in Paterson. Iâve been met with so much excitement and support. Love is how we come together. Solidarity is how we fight together. Love and solidarity is how we will win.
So many people have been reaching out how to support my campaign.
But this isnât my campaign. This is our campaign.
Weâre going to change the city. We are going to build the type of city we want to live. That means we are including and welcoming everyone.
Reach out to join us and consider donating $10 to our people powered campaign.
I know that we will win.

One day, I plan to keep only the good things. To adorn myself in nothing but glitter, to fall in love with the naked flesh, the generous pulse.
A.W. - âAliveâ (CUPSI 2015)
More than 43 percent of Puerto Ricans still donât have power, and some may not get it until May.
Itâs been more than 100 days since Hurricane Maria ravaged the electrical grids of these two US territories, but 14,815 utility customers in the US Virgin Islands, more than a quarter of the total customers, still donât have electricity. In Puerto Rico, 675,000 customers, or 43 percent of the total, lack power.

Her name is Martine Rothblatt. She also founded United Therapeutics, which is a company that works to find cures for âââsmallâââ diseases that donât necessarily affect a lot of people.Â

Here is a picture of Martine and her wife, Bina Aspen:
aye bruh donât hide that need for affection and intimacy. Having a nurturing, or vulnerable personality is special and never something that should be put down or seen as strange or weak. donât let others tell you otherwise. Itâs hard but embrace it.

To affectionate and intimate brothas âââââ
âForget inspiration. Habit is more dependable. Habit will sustain you whether youâre inspired or not. Habit will help you finish and polish your stories. Inspiration wonât. Habit in persistence in practice.â
