Television Legend
I'm curious about everything. Even subjects that don't interest me.

gays take panicking as flirting
not necessarily a theory but here’s the thing; I don’t think Jamie was right when she said Dani would forget about her. Because Viola — Viola, who forgot — was so consumed by rage, by that desperate ache for vengeance, that there was nothing she could do but be devoured by it, and lose everything else. Dani, however. Dani was not taken against her will; she chose to make that sacrifice, and she did it for all things, and for love. And love, unlike rage, is not an emotion which makes your mind forget everything else. Love simply heightens things. Makes you realise just how perfectly splendid every day really is, at the heart of things. Jamie said it herself — the lady in the lake was Dani, and Dani was different.
What she didn’t say, but what was surely given by the hand on her shoulder in that jarringly beautiful last scene — Dani would not forget.
Dani would never.
The Haunting of Bly Manor
Jaime whispering ‘thank fuck’ after Dani said yes, she’s sure, destroyed me.
something i love about bly manor is how it shows the way homophobia affects people without showing or making it about homophobia
thoughts on Jamie being the little spoon
good thoughts.
but seriously, this is worth thinking about. i’m going to take this little scene and assume Jamie is the little spoon and here’s why
first we have Jamie “plants > people”. Jamie, with the tragic childhood, responsible for her little brother while still being a kid herself. Jamie who since then has probably been distant, guarded, keeping up her walls, trying to be strong, enjoying her “nice and boring” life. Jamie who decided people weren’t worth her time and effort, but most importantly Jamie who thought she wasn’t worth time and effort. but now she finally finds someone she can relax with, someone to let down her guard for, someone who wants to stay and won’t disappoint her. and Jamie for the first time lets herself be held by someone, by Dani
then we have Dani “compulsory heterosexuality” Clayton, who practically since she was a little kid found herself in a relationship she didn’t want in the first place, in a dynamic she wasn’t comfortable in, trying to fill in a role she never wanted. she probably felt the pressure of being the perfect little girlfriend, and ended up suffocated by her relationship with a man. but now she’s free, she’s even confronted the ghost of her past, and she can breathe, and she can be the one to hold the other person, the other woman, she can hold Jamie and there’s no better feeling in the world for her
wanted to make a magazine cover for them :)
the best thing about jamie and dani becoming a couple is because it was so unexpected. It wasn’t over promoted and pushed as the only thing about the show, it wasn’t used to queerbait and not end up happening it actually happened. It showed a healthy growing relationship between two women that was simply a part of the show. It happened so normally and so naturally like any relationship would and i think that that’s what made it such amazing representation and so heartbreaking at the end.
It was the unexpectedness that made it such a powerful, moving wlw storyline
