FAQ

Why make this blog?

The DC fandom is overwhelmingly full of the Batfamily, so we wanted to create a space for people to share their favorite fanfic that's free of the Bats.

What counts as Bat-free?

Fanfiction that doesn't feature a Batfamily member or villain in a main or supporting role. Ideally, fanfiction that doesn't include them at all, but a Bat in a minor background role is fine. For example, a Justice League fic where Batman speaks once.

How do I submit a fic?

By filling out our submission form! We will not accept submissions via anywhere else.

What kind of fics will you accept?

We will accept comics and canon-based fanfiction only. So no adaptations, we want to keep this a comic fan space. We accept both canon compliant and canon divergent fics, as well as canon alternate universes and Elseworlds.

What sites do you accept fic from?

We accept fics from AO3, CFAA, SquidgeWorld, Superlove, Sunset, Dreamwidth, LiveJournal, FFN, just about any fanfic site you can think of.

Can I submit my own fic?

Sure, as long as you also submit someone else's fic. We want this to primarily be a place for sharing fanfiction, not advertisting.

How often will recs be posted?

The queue is set for twice a day.

Who runs this blog?

There are two mods. One is Kitty, whose comic sideblog is @polyhawks. The other is Veda, who can be found at @chainsofprometheus.
