Rechargeable: Indefinite Hiatus

I’m sorry to announce that Rechargeable is officially on an indefinite hiatus, after the conclusion of episode 2. I want to thank everyone who has read and enjoyed the comic so far, shared it with others, and participated in the small fandom we have here. I hope your BVOCs and love for the characters can continue to flourish, but until further notice, Rechargeable production is ceasing.

I’ve outlined what happens next for supporters on Patreon, and what you can expect from the reward tiers. I will be continuing comics, but I need a change of scenery from the RC world and cast. There is still a #rechargeable channel in the Discord server, and a lot of BVOC love shared on there if you want some place to chat to fellow readers!

I’ll be switching focus on a new, more lighthearted project called Questables. So far, character concepts and style experiments have been shared on Patreon, and you’ll be able to find out more on the Questables tumblr page once I start setting it up for content! This series will be a fantasy-set comedy in the form of linear comic strips, with a smaller cast of 6, and will still bring plenty of LGBT+ content.

Industrial designer Andrew Kim has created a new Coke bottle concept that could significantly change the sodamaker’s footprint. For every 4 bottles currently shipped, the square bottle design could ship 6. This means every shipping container could hold 4,000 more bottles of Coke. Kim also considered that Americans use 2 million plastic bottles every 5 minutes, so he made the bottle itself green. It is  100% plant based, made entirely from sugar cane byproducts. Which is amusing since Coke hasn’t been made from sugar since 1985 (via Jerry James Stone)

i love kennedy so much. i hope to see more of him in the comic. what can you tell me about his position in the team, and his relations with the other members? any backstory hints? please he's my son

you'll get to learn about kennedy's backstory eventually in the story, so i won't be spoiling any of that ;0

we've learned so far that daddy's got a bit of a soft spot for him, he gets along and hangs out with the younger members of the crew more often (fieldmouse and idroid), although they do tend to rip on each other a little bit. he's the youngest, so he's going to cop some flack for that, but they all look out for him nonetheless! we've only got more pages and more interactions on the way, so you can look forward to more kennedy with that!

The Rechargeable emotes are finally ready and available on Twitch and Discord!

 I’ve been wanting to get character emotes done since I first started drawing out emotes for the Twitch channel so it’s hella exciting to see all the Episode 1 emotes finished and ready to use

Join the Discord server and chat with other fans and make new friends! Click here to join. The server is open to more than just Rechargeable talk, but it’s nice to know you’ve got something in common with everyone when you first jump in.

You can also use the emotes on Twitch.tv/Bilvyy, provided you have the FFZ extension installed. Enjoy using them freely during the weekly livestreams!

More emotes will be made as we meet more characters in the comic! But Mozzie and Needle should be just around the corner.

does idroid have claustrophobia?

Yes - At least, he often experiences panic/anxiety in small spaces.

I haven’t finished researching the depth of the phobia to my satisfaction, and i want to have a better understanding of it before officially giving him that diagnosis. So for now i’m keeping the emphasis on his panic attacks in general!

Happy 1st Birthday, Rechargeable! 🎉

Rechargeable Comic went live on November 1st, 2015. Since then it has amassed over 3,000 readers, fluctuated steadily between 30-40 supporters through patron, cameoed 20 fans and fancharacters, and sold over sixty physical issues! 💙

Although 2016 has been intermittent with a few hiatuses, episode two will continue straight onto episode three in early 2017. Beyond that, there are eleven more episodes of cybernetics and adventures to look forward to!
