About Sage Croft
BRIEF: Sage Croft is a Lunar Witch studying at the New York Academy of Witches where she is training to be a witch companion to an elite member of vampire society. These elite witches are known as The Silhouettes. Vampires rules the world in which they live and witches are their most loyal defenders. Unbeknownst to Sage, she is not actually a Lunar witch but a blood witch. One of the rare few in existence. AGE: 21. FANDOM: Urban Fantasy
HISTORY: Born to an elite family of witches, The Croft Family are known in all circles, vampire, witches, and werewolves. For centuries they have held the highest position a witch can hold when working for a vampire family, all earning the honored title of Silhouette.
From childhood, Sage has trained for this moment where during her senior year at the academy she'll face The Trials which will test each witch to his and her limits, seeing if the qualify to bear the name of Silhouette. Her mother, Rosemary was ruthless in her instructions, with all three of her daughters. So much so that the eldest died before she was able to enter the academy. Rosemary Croft used her sway with the witches and vampires to write it off as a rare illness that afflicted young witches. Sage knew the truth about Ivy and hated her mother ever since.
Fearful of her own death, Sage worked to keep herself and her younger sister alive. In the process, it strained her relationship with her mother and father which in turn fractured the tight bond she had with her sister, Lily, their parents turning their youngest daughter against Sage.
Estranged but still living with her family, Sage threw herself into her studies and friendships, counting down the days untill she could attend the academy. At 18 she started her freshman year where she shared a room with her best friend, Elizabeth, a elemental witch. The pair of them breezed through the first three years of school. Senior year was another ballgame.
PRESENT: Senior year of school as come and Sage spends the entire first semester cramming for The Trials in second semester. She rotates through Vampire partners, learning how the different families operate in their corner of the world.
With The Trials looming closer, a strange affliction overcomes Sage. Her Lunar powers are on the frits and there is a deeply troubling feeling in her chest. Something is missing and she doesn't know what. Secrets are cropping up at the academy and rumors and flying about the Croft Family. Are they as prestigious as they seem? Or is there something foul at play. Sage struggles to survive senior year at the academy, pray she's accepted as a Silhouette, and survives in the process.
