A woman from Dallas woke up as a quadrupled amputee after giving birth. 

How on earth did this happen? 

It turns out that a common Group A strep infection had set in and was eating away at her body. Her husband made the decision for surgeons to amputate her arms and legs in hopes that they could save her life.

There are a lot of holes in this story, but I could not find a reputable news source to give more information. 

One insightful comment on the video says: It’s called Sepsis, it’s a systemic infection affecting the blood, essentially her entire body was infected. The body tries to save vital organs by pulling blood supply to the core and away from the extremities, they die off and require amputation.
