Support the Extension of Clean Energy Tax Incentives!

When I arrived to the Washington DC area after a long campaign season in New Mexico, exhausted, and unoccupied, I decided to  find something to occupy myself with. So I decided to take my own advice which I had been giving out to supporters all year, and volunteer!

I chose the Fund for the Public Interest. This Non-for-profit organization needed help fundraising and lobbying for the extension of the Wind Production Tax Credit (PTC), and the Wind Investment Tax Credit (ITC).

I began volunteering for their organization and sporadically gave them a hand with their fundraising efforts through December.

The Wind Energy Campaign we worked on was managed by Environment America, a great non profit who is spear-heading the campaign on green energy across the country!

Hi, 

My name is Benjamin. I am a world traveler, and political activist. If I believe it has an impact on society it will most likely end up on this site. Of course I can't write on every specific issue, but if you feel I should, then shoot me a message and I would be glad to give you my insight.

I believe in two things: thinking then doing, and that the most constructive solutions to society's problems begin with productive debate & negotiation and followed by "get it done" attitudes.

Through my travels I have come across many conflicts which I believe could be addressed were the two contentious parties to sit down and give each other a chance to talk. It is my ambition to be that  liaison and bridge that gap.

It is because of this passion, that I have created Politics on the Rocks a compilation of opinionated editorials hoping that my contributions may help others see the conflict through a different perspective.

I am not an ideologue, I am pragmatist, so if you believe that my opinion is flawed, feel free to post a contribution, because the exchange of ideas is modern technology's best contribution to society, and I would very much like to hear yours.
