The way Lucifer is treated like a joke here is killing me in a BAD way.

All he ever tries to do is care for his daughter, he loves her so very much. And he is not only treated by Charlie like all he's been through in the finale is NOTHING, but by writers in the first place. He was publically humiliated for his daughter. Sera never reacting at all on Lucifer being there when she came down. He felt literal pain for, maybe, first time since falling for trying to be a good dad. He would probably explode with the machine if itd explode.

And after all that? We never getting to see Charlie apologizing and treating his wounds. We dont even see her worry much, she immediately switches to Pen, leaving Lu bleeding there. And what kills me the most, is that possibility redemption should be a HUGE, BIG thing for Lucifer. Ofc he bdlieves in his daughter either way, but to actually see fruits of her faith in ppl, to see human kind can use his gift of free will to choose becoming better and grow. Wasnt it his dream? For people using it for good? His reaction could've been so big, emotional, so personal to him.

But no. We dont deserve to see any of it even after hes all rested and well again.

I love Lucifer so much, for his goofiness, loyalty to his family and for his badass moments. But its also one of the most tragic characters of the show. Id so want more moments with him, like "more than anything", "show must go on" or like in the first eps of season 2 where he shows vulnerability and also all the love and support to those he loves and its not treated like hes a loser who cant ever do anything right.

Seriously, if she had just caught him as he collapsed or held him after, it would've been enough for me. The season had such a good set up for him, even with the sillier moments, there were instances where you could see his genuine care for Charlie and Lilith both when he was talking directly to his daughter and then later on with Vaggi. Yeah, he's a spacey, depressed, autistic-coded gremlin, but we know his priorities lie with his family. He's always serious when it comes to them, even if he's making a fool of himself trying to impress Charlie. And then it all just got dropped so he could be a literal plot device.

Additionally, Lu seeing Pen had been redeemed should've been a huge moment for him. He never had faith in Sinners, but he had always wanted to see his daughter's dream come true. It's why he was so afraid for her, why he kept trying to talk her down from the idea of redemption until finally accepting that she would she never give up and gave her all of his support; he didn't want her to go through the same heartbreak he did when all of his own efforts crumbled before him. Even exhausted from the doom ray, he would've seen Charlie succeeded and would've been glowing with pride.
