okay so.... after Danielle left I fell off. Haven't watched the feeds in over a week. I did a little tumblr scrolling and found out Morgan won HOH and Justin won his CP challenge. I was so upset. I thought for sure Jason's game was over. Watched the episode tonight and I'm still literally in shock!!! I can't get over it. He legit just won this game. Also, wow. okay and look.... I'm not trying to offend anyone with what I'm about to say but this is something I wish people would understand (not for myself, but for my conservative father-- I am 100000% for gay marriage and LGBTQ equality) My dad is against gay marriage... The whole sanctity of marriage and tradition and religion and all that bullshit. But to be fair, he was raised that way... his parents were veryyyy devout Christians and they themselves were homophobic, therefore instilling the belief that gay marriage is wrong. But despite all that, my dad also.... has NO problem with LGBTQ people whatsoever. It doesn't bother him in the slightest. He couldn't be more accepting and I've literally heard him talk badly about homophobes and call people out for saying something homophobic. It's just the actual marriage part that he's wary about. And I know some of y'all will want to say that if you don't support gay people's rights then you don't support gay people themselves and I GET that (and sorta believe it myself). But evennn if Danielle still DOES believe that gay marriage is wrong [after three whole years], it doesn't mean she hates gay people or is homophobic. I mean she was best friends with Jason and Kryssie... She never made a single derogatory comment about LGBTQ's or acted uncomfortable around them in any way. Can you say the same about your faves???
With the comparison of Paulie vs Danielle that Iāve seen stated a few timesā¦.I want to put my two cents in simple terms that I see in my head.
When Paulieās old tweets were dug up, you couldnāt really argue that he might have changed from the time of his tweets to his time in the house because his actions and speech during his season backed up the ideologies he held.
With Danielleās old tweets being dug up, in my opinion, I didnāt see the overwhelming ignorance she had 1-3 three years ago inside the house. I didnāt hear her stating her ideas behind peopleās backs like for example Paulie did.
Iām not defending anyone because I believe that people should own up to their doings when brought to the light, but, with being stuck with people from all walks of life 24/7 for 50 days, all Iām saying is that there could be aĀ possibilityĀ that Danielle doesnāt feel the same way she felt before she entered the house. Sometimes thatās all it takes.
An example just because this came to me:Ā
I see people saying that Danielle is an extreme homophobe. That could be true, I do not know the girl personally nor will I act like I do. Just like everyone else, I just watched her online for 3 months. But there was a time when Jason and Danielle created a show called āMoonshine Fallsā where all the players were in a soap opera drama. Danielle created a storyline where she and Whitney were lesbian lovers. Iām not sure but if someone is a homophobe, they would never subject themselves with anything remotely gay. She could have said she was in a relationship with any guy in the house and made another girl a lesbian but she chose to date Whitney. It could be nothing but that told me that maybe, just maybe,Ā Danielle started opening her mind after being around so many different people and backgrounds.
Iām not writing this as a Danielle fan. Iām writing this as someone who removed biases and formed an opinion. I would do the same if letās say this was Shelby or someone else getting caught up in this discourse, but they made their thought processes pretty apparent throughout this season. But all I can hope for is that Danielle has in-fact grown and sees things in different perspectives. Ā
