I lowkey feel bad for wesker, dude was just trying to break the cycle, sure his methods were highly morally questionable but his intentions weren't entirely wrong...
I wouldn't even say he was seeking complete perfection either, but a way out, like yeah, cease the suffering by cutting ties with your humanity ( and attempting to become a God yourself ) .
I wonder if he would have found Leon insufferable or might have on the contrary become fascinated with his character, he's the perfect embodiment of the human nature, he's pitifully repeating the same loop over and over again, playing hero and saving people, getting used like a pawn and cleaning up after people's messes.
I guess in this case , Leon would be the perfect human subject and Albert the imperfect one ; how the tables have turned lmfaooo!!!
I'd love to see wesker dissect Leon piece by piece, studying him, analyzing his behavioral patterns, trying to understand why this stubborn guy hadn't given up yet, despite the trauma and suicidal urges he'd be putting up with.
I think Albert is just suffering from major existential OCD , he was not built for living the human experience and he's having a hard time wrapping his head around it ; could be an analogy for how neurodivergents feel around neurotypicals , but in this case wesker isn't neurodivergent, just a genetically altered bioweapon.
Funny how he's just further digging his own grave the more viruses he keeps injecting into his system, and how Leon oppositionally to him keeps on insisting on building a high tolerance to them .
Both those characters refuse to accept the flow of life, they're so infuriatingly stubborn it's unbelievable. So stuck in their ways and single minded ( ironic considered how selfless they assume themselves to be ) .
