“Dazai?” She blinks. The approach in contrast to his usual diversion of simply being in the same room as her was a bit shocking. Still, that was no reason to not hear him out.

“As far as I’m aware, I’m all booked up for the next five days,” she concludes with his vague implications. “I’m going to be sick. Unless you have some titillating proposals of course. Maybe I’ll manage to get healthy in the next few minutes. Medical miracles are more and more common.”

It wasn’t a surprise at all really, to initially hear her outright make phony excuses to get out of whatever Dazai was cooking up. It usually was usually never a great idea, after all. Thus, the younger man didn’t have a problem with attempting to entice her with the truth of the matter.

“Ah-- what a shame. Guess I’ll just have to go drinking on my own. Wouldn’t want to take up your valuable being-sick day,” He could only hope the brief mention would pique her interest, else he probably wouldn’t go in the first place. No use getting drunk with people you barely knew. It wasn’t any fun. The only part of that that really interested him was the possible suicide by alcohol poisoning, but, well...

Been there, done that. Dazai really wasn’t a fan of that method, anyway.

Dazai had arrived safely in an alley, so he knew he was in town and probably close to the agency. Anyway, he was not going to go there directly because if that was not his world, he was aware that there was another Dazai there. That Dazai was the true one in his world while he himself was an imposter.

Surprisingly he did not expect to hear his other self from that world speak to him, before he found him the other had been found before. Well, that meant do less work. With a smirk, the false detective stopped and looked at him.

He figured his guy must’ve known who he was. What, was he gonna kill him and try to take his place? He hoped not. That plan just sounded boring. Dazai wasn’t sure if he really wanted to entertain the idea today. With a shrug of his shoulders, he kept going down his route to the office space on his side of the street.

The guy certainly didn’t seem to be bothered by being caught, making him wonder just what they were intending on doing with his appearance.

“Then c’mon Dazai,” He urged, raising his voice once again the farther he got away from the other. “Can’t be late to work, or I’ll get yelled at again. What a horrible way to start off the day,” Never did stop him from just getting there whenever he damn well pleased, but that wasn’t the point.
