I came across a prosperous farmer near Olvia. His name is Qing Wa. He told me that he was always so happy in Olvia. He went on to describe the luxuries in life that I will not be able to obtain. The fine cotton on the bed that he sleeps in, the good clay that is on the walls of his roof, the fine fruits that he is able to eat on a daily basis. Furthermore, he went on to talk about his neighbors. None of them can compare to the wealth that he has due to how bountiful his farm was. I will not name names for it is not my place to share what he has spoken. All in all, he was happy and invited me into his house for which I am always grateful.
He had a spare bed, however it is not made of cotton or leather but of hay. His clay house is not well made and there are cracks. It rained for two nights in a row and we scrambled to make sure all of his belongings were in a dry location. The fruits that he has told us, were only good enough for him. There were no meat and Deathbite cannot survive on meat alone. We had to hunt for our own food at night, without him knowing.
One night, he discovered that we were away and found this insulting. Deathbite could no longer take enough of this but I begged and pleaded to not take this man's life. Instead, Deathbite told him this, "Even a distance of a thousand li cannot give you an idea of the sea's width; even a height of a thousand ren cannot give you an idea of its depth. The sea does not change along with the passage of time and its level does not rise or fall according to the amount of rain that falls. The greatest happiness is to live in the East Sea."
He then thrashed around the clay house and we left in the darkness of the night.
