So much inaccurate information on the topics of nutrition and exercise make it difficult to decide who's right. Let Be Body be your guide & get straight answers on the Dos and Don'ts of building a program for YOU!
For example, a common myth is that runners either do not need to do strength conditioning, or that demanding strength conditioning impedes running performance. Not so! A balanced program of cardio AND strength training is essential for optimum health and performance!
I just took 1st in my age group in a 10k run-- ask me how I did it and you can, too!
What does "Fitness" mean to you?
What do you think when you hear the word "fitness"? Grueling workouts? Restrictive diets? Stepping onstage? Slipping into a new bikini?
Or is "fitness" something more-- a lack of illness. Too many family and friends have been struck by illness lately. I am re-evaluating my own definition of "fitness." Normally, I think of "fitness" as being able to run fast and far, lift heavy, and feel energized. This definition takes an underlying lack of disease and severe injury for granted.
Let us be thankful for whatever baseline we do have. Fitness means something different to everyone. And if you are one of the lucky ones, someone whose only obstacles are lack of energy, demands on your time, or genetically stubborn fat cells, then remember this: everyone has a different baseline. "Fitness" is different for everyone. Strive for your definition.

The DO IT ANYWHERE Workout
Equipment: Water + Willpower
1 minute: Jumping jacks
1 minute: Deep lunges, alternating legs
1 minute: Burpees
1 minute: Push-ups
1 minute: Jump squats (stand straight up, feet toghether. Jump and land in a deep squat position. From there, jump and land in original position- upright, feet together)
1 minute: Butt blasters (get down on hands and knees, and raise your right leg as though you were trying to touch your head with your toes. Concentrate on feeling it in the glutes. Switch legs on next set)
1 minute: 4-square jump (it's easy! Stand upright with feet together. Jump forward, right, back, and left. Then reverse the square pattern- back, left, forward, and right).
1 minute: Plank
Complete 4 times for a 32 minute, awesome workout!
