Pop Song Professor: Florida Georgia Line is exactly what is wrong with country music today.
Me: I'm a basic white girl and have no shame. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Youtube just recommend me Fall Out Boy to 80s music. This is probably one of the wildest things that has ever happened to me and I’m so for it.
album posters: evolve - imagine dragons ( ½ )

Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump Breaks Down Cinematic New Song “Church”
things we know about church by fall out boy
1. there were at least 2 demos and many different sets of lyrics
2. elisa (patrick’s wife) asked patrick “would andy hurley really play that?” about a drum part on one of these demos, causing patrick to change it
3. patrick did not notice the “mr. stump” part until he was interviewed by rolling stone
4. the “mr. stump” part is said by Butch Walker (FOB’s producer), and is pitch-shifted to sound like a woman
5. Butch Walker came up with Pete’s bassline on the song, as he found the original to be boring
6. Patrick originally considered having the song in ¾ tempo, changing it to 4/4 later on
7. The original lyrics on one verse were “Life goes by so fast / You blink and you miss it / But all of my friends get messed up to make it go quicker / Mirror, mirror on the wall / I guess I’m just like my father after all”
8. Patrick says those lyrics were “wrong” and “rambling”, choosing to swap them for the lyrics we have today

Those last two lines tho
How many hats Patrick owns?

Joe: Wait, when did this happen?
