“Trying moments in life are like driving a deserted highway at night.. although you cannot see beyond your headlights, though if you follow the road with given time.. dawn will once again illuminate the darkened path of your journey.” - zero-void
The most expensive pocket watch in the world made for Marie Antoinette
This watch was originally designed by Breguet himself and has more pieces (823) than an iPhone. It’s self winding, has a minute repeater, perpetual calendar, equation of time, jumping hour, power reserve indicator, and a bimetallic thermometer – everything but MMS messaging. It took forty-four years for the original to be constructed and Breguet and Marie Antoinette both died before it was completed. Ultimately, the original watch disappeared, never to be seen again. When Swatch acquired Breguet, an Indiana Jones style quest for the watch began. When they came up short they reproduced the watch using only the images of the original. Breguet has received offers in the eight digit range, but still refuse to sell.
Tadao Ando’s Ryotaro Shiba Museum Will Pryce
The Museum consists of two parts. The author’s house and newly built museum, opend in the 1st, Nov, 2001. You can walk around the garden and see the author’s study from outside. The author worked here until his death, 12th, Feb, 1996. You proceed to the new part through the curving glass corridor. Inside, at first glance you will be fascinated by the huge bookshelf (11meters high) with 20,000 books. Researching these books the author wrote about 500 historical novels, essays, critical essays and many other works. We regard this area as “his another study”. Please sit on the chair looking up at the wall of books and feel the author’s spirit. The new building was designed by Ando Tadao, a famous Japanese architect, to show the creative world of Shiba Ryotaro.

Dressed for the bull jumping ceremony, Ethiopia.
“This Hamar man is part of the family of the jumper (the man who has to jump over 10 cows to have the right to marry a girl). He wears his best clothes as it is a big event in the tribe. On his legs, he has put some green colors, made with a special clay that costs a lot of money there.”
Photographer Owen Humphreys captured these images of starling murmurations near Gretna Green.
