I'm planning on going to law school. I know I have to study for the LSAT. So far, I have both of the LSAT powerscore bibles and plan to get an account for LawHub. Is there anything else you would recommend getting to study?
OMG, congratulations! Yes! For Logical Reasoning, I used Khan Academy — my best friend and I both loved it. It’s completely free and super informative.
For practice questions, I subscribed to LSAT Demon by Ben and Nathan. They have a full bank of official LSAC-licensed questions with great explanations and drilling options.
For Reading Comprehension, I also used LSAT Demon, though to be honest, I didn’t spend as much time on that section. When I took the LSAT, Logic Games were still part of the test, so I focused heavily on those since they were my strongest area.
Hope this helps — and best of luck on the LSAT! You’ve got this! 🎉

I wrote a whole passage only for it to get erased, lol. So I’ll keep it short: wrong answers don’t equal failure—they mean progress. Getting things wrong at the start is (1) completely normal and (2) part of the learning process, since each mistake is a chance to learn and not repeat it. Excited to dive into Real Property today!

Meant to post this yesterday but forgot lol.
I think my goal for this blog is to be more of a journal to document my thoughts on doing this again.
Yesterday I wrapped up my Contracts outline, and honestly I feel like my understanding is much deeper this time around. I’m finally connecting the dots between subjects and seeing how they fit together. Damages is still tricky for me — maybe because it’s always at the end and by then my brain is just tired.
Today’s plan: really nail down damages, watch some of the Grossman videos on topics I’ve been struggling with, and get through 20 Emanuel questions. I’m feeling good overall, just a bit tired. It’s my first day balancing full-time work and studying, and my body definitely feels it. But I’m pushing through and staying positive — I get to take the Bar exam, so let’s keep going!
I Failed the Bar.
Today marks one week since I found out, and I’m still processing. Some moments it’s hard to even talk about.
What stings the most is the embarrassment—feeling like all my friends passed, that my competitors passed, and that I somehow let everyone down. I keep thinking about what more I could have done. I was burned out, battling depression and impostor syndrome, and desperately needing home. Law school was hard, but the bar left me feeling hollow.
People say the bar is a test of endurance and of mind over matter, and I believe that now. I started studying again yesterday, this time focusing more on my mental health and on how I learn. I’m back home now, not 1,400 miles away from my support system, and I already feel more grounded. I feel better about the bar—though thinking about that time in my life, last summer, still makes a pit in my stomach.
I’m not even sure what this post is supposed to be. Maybe it’s just a reminder to myself that shit sucks right now, but what’s broken can be mended, what’s hurt can be healed, and no matter how dark it gets, the sun will rise again. (Or whatever Meredith Grey said in that quote.)
my local writing group is hosted by this literary organization that offers day passes for quiet workstations. and free unlimited coffee with oat milk. i think i'm in love.
Who else can relate?
It is so crazy to think this was nearly 5 years ago and next week I start my last semester of law school...
Studying like this so I can get into Columbia and live out my New York dreams.
I absolutely love studying in front of a window
So old! Miss this desk so much!

Today was my frist day back on my studying routine. I started working on lectures of a class that was recorded last year in the morning, and ended up not studying in the afternoon despite my plan. I simply ended up chatting with my dad and went with the flow ignoring my responsabilities. It might not be the best way to start, but honestly I think it was a good way to start slowly and get the habit back. Overall it was a good day, and I don't feel nervous about the new start.
Cozy hobbit autumn activities and productivity:
got back to my 6:15 morning routine and I hadn't realized how much I missed it? Waking up when the world is quiet and having time to slowly start my day as the sun comes up is probably my favourite thing of the day
read first thing in the morning
daily Irish practice on duolingo I am amost done with my big review so i probably start to work on new topics soon!
by 8 I was sat I my desk to study so I had plenty of time to be productive but to also take as many little breaks as I needed and believe me I needed many
started watching recorded lectures and taking notes for this class I am self studying at home about human theories and power practices in the modern era the recordings are not of the best quality but they could be much worse and the class sounds very interesting. I only worked on one lecture and a half so I'll need a bit more time to judge it
ended up not studying in the afternoon because me and my dad started talking about books and movies and we had a lovely fun conversation that lasted hours and honestly no regrets because this way I am slowly getting back into my studying routine without going from 0 to 100 right away

going over special relativity today, i'm finding that revising first year topics in maths and physics is actually making me feel more prepared for postgrad than the more complicated stuff
{11.14.22} finally back to reading after taking a full week off. COVID’s a bitch. Be careful out there everyone!
