First Beakman gig in Brazil, 1997: a United Airlines employee recognized my name at the desk and asked for a photo. Once I was seated on the plane, a lot more United agents came on board to say hello, take pictures, and deplane.
Performing at the annual I.P.N. university book fair in 2019 on a giant outdoor stage for thousands of happy students, a super fun experience that I had several years in a row. I sure would love to come back again! I.P.N. broadcast El Mundo de Beakman in much of Mexico on Canal Once.
A fan pic of adorable baby as Beakman! Awwwww....
From the pilot for Beakman's World, before the lab coat became green. The pilot had a rat puppet instead of A Guy in the Rat Suit and a couple of kids, too.
CHANGE MY MIND.
The late, great Jean Stapleton, Edith Bunker on TV's ALL IN THE FAMILY and mother of our wonderful line producer Pam Putch, played Beakmom, my on screen mother. She was a joy and delight to work with: super chill, friendly, and kind to us all.
Beakman in Santos, Brazil, November 2022. I had a blast at the Geek Festival and ate loads of great seafood, too.
Performance at Tec de Monterrey, Mexico, back in 2015, in an atrium with many stories filled with very enthusiastic Tec students! Organized by my good friend Lamberto Alvarez, who now teaches at Tec in Guadalajara.
Cool still from FFFront in Sao Paulo in 2018! We were shooting a promo for a video game in a bar. Fun as hell.
Holding a scale model of the brain, Beakman stands in front of one of the projected drawing he used to explain how the nervous system works in the live stage show, BEAKMAN ON THE BRAIN. 2011.
Audience participation in a live Beakman show in 2003 at Omega Institute in upstate NY, a spiritual retreat with macrobiotic food and lots of chill folks meditating and chillin'. I loved performing and leading workshops there in the early aughts.
Goofing around backstage at a Tec de Monterrey gig while the guy in the background wonders what the hell is wrong with me.
Agatha Knife and Beakman and Penguins!
Beakman at Beckman! I premiered the live show BEAKMAN ON THE BRAIN at the beautiful mid century modern Beckman Auditorium, Caltech, Pasadena, California. The show featured me singing a song with two bird puppets on my arms; that scene was cut immediately!
A fan in Mexico created this Time Magazine cover.
A fan photo of Beakman + Lester. Please note the "MOM" tattoo! (Lester's tattoos changed every episode. Did you notice?)
