Growls and Rants*
Back to the daily grind today at a new office, so today’s song is some flat out, pedal to the metal grindcore from the fathers of Grind, Napalm Death. This band has been angry, shouty, and mean since the 1980′s and they’re still going. The Code is Red...Long Live the Code is probably my fave album of theirs, despite having loved them since 1994′s Fear. Emptiness. Despair. And while Enemy of the Music Business might be the hinge upon which their modern career turned, The Code is Red... was one of those albums that helped establish them in the modern era of metal. It’s a fierce, angry album full of some of their best work, right before they started to incorporate less of Barney’s death vocals and more of the shrill yelling they were known for back in the early days.
SOTD.
“Evil Has No Boundaries” Slayer
New Agony Scene, a blast from my college days. Glad to see these guys back in action. Ripping new track! Last year Through the Eyes of the Dead came back, and now the Agony Scene. Are all my fave college metal bands gonna reunite?
Some days are great. Some days are the above. Some days I’m super social. Some days I want to crawl into a black void and not say a word. I have outlets for these things but sometimes they aren’t quite enough. Today I’m mourning something. I don’t know what that something is and I feel as if I’m not as frightened by that as I should be.
The most metal couple ever
Psa there’s a new anime from the same company that makes hello kitty about a 25 year old alcoholic red panda right out of college with a boring office job with a sexist boss and she vents her anger through death metal and it’s just too real for all these cute ass animals to be going through this shit but it’s a good show.
It’s on Netflix.

Dis show y'all
This show is totally me.
T’was an angry music kinda day and it doesn’t get much angrier than 2012 Whitechapel. We won’t go into the state the band’s in now (way too Slipknot like now). The Self Titled (2012) and A New Era of Corruption (2010) years were their peak. Quality death metal. Now it’s just...bleh. Anyway, enjoy this incredibly mean track.
Having a Thrashing good Sunday.
Beautiful revenge
Music really helps my creative process flow. My works usually have a soundtrack. I’ve got a new fanfiction in progress for Zootopia and there’s nothing like good ol’ Canadian Tech Death to get the creative juices flowing. Beneath the Massacre are manic, angry, and punishing; just like the antagonist in this new work.
