This was in book 3 when Lindel told Chise about Mages. He mentioned that some of them never wanted to be with humans and changed their Body into something else.

One of them has a simelar but very minimalistic version of the Hands Outfit.

How funny would it be if Lindel knew her but had just forgotten about her because they didn't see each other to often.

Besides im wondering if we see the other two who stand behind Lindel maybe as some kind of arc mage who are as old as him and have either the same opinion about Humans and fae or the opposite.

After all he seems to be a kind of antagonist at some point of the arc. And for some reason i think Elias wouldn't be able to treat him as such. They spent so much time together and he always behave like a Son around him. So it would be an opportunity to introduce some other old mages to stop Lindel from what ever he will try to do.

Found some one who postet all chibi shorts of the ancient magus bride in englisch 😍😍

I played the new Game from the ancient magus bride and wanted to share my thoughts on it. First of all this contains only my personal thoughts on the Game not any professional things so feel free to think differntly.😅 Secondly please have in mind that it is a graphic novel we speak of, not a Game in the traditional sence. And last but not least I try not to include any spoilers of the story as i also havent finish it myself. So please also dont trop any in the comments, so everyone can experience it themself.

1. The graphic

As usual the pictures in the series are stunnig. The background is very detailed and colorful, what makes it beautifull to look at. You can click the text away to have a even better look on it. The illustrations you get from time to time are also in a glossary where you always can look at them after you saw them in the story. The new characters are unique and the old ones have some nice details. Like Chise having her cursed arm and wearing Elias pendant.

But there is also my issue with the grafic. Some details are in the wrong color and the characters always in the same pose. Even then when it clearly doesn't match the text. That makes it sometimes funny to watch, as they just shift there faces. You can imagine how good that works on Elias. They also used often a similar pose for differnt charakters.

2. The music

I liked the opening of the game what was also hearing in the trailer. The rest of the music is a slightly differnt version of the ost from the first season if im not wrong. It sounded very nostalgic and new at the same time. I always loved the background soundtrack of the first season so it made me very happy to hear it again in the game. They also got the japanese Voice actors on board, but don't get too excited. They only say some phrases not the actual text. What makes it kind of pointless that they are there at all.

3. The system

As said it is a graphic novel so i didn't expect a great play system in the first place. Most of the time you just click a button to continue the story. Alternative you can also choose to let it autoplay or read the script to return to a missed point. Sometimes you get to choose the course of the continuation. But I didn't reached a point where I had a feeling that my choice really matter so i can't say if they do. You have always the possibility to save your game and return to the start where you find the collections. There you also find your progress in the story and the other features.

4. The story and the characters

The story feels very laid back and is more fixed on little tasks. You follow the two new characters Letty and Sol at their way to restore Letty's memories. On that way they encounter a lot of the characters from season one. There are also little easter eggs from other series like Jack Flash or the manga it self. For Fans of the complete tamb world it is really nice. But the slow pace makes it also a little tiring. Nevertheless do i find myself getting fully absorbed in it and someone whose native language is English might find it easier to read. You can also explore multiple side storys beside the main story itself. There you get an even better look on the everyday life of the characters.

The characters itself well ...lets say they are ok. Sol is like a very naive young version of how Elias might have bin when he was with Lindel. It is sweet watching him learning more about humans. But as your choices are in his perspective you always get a lecture from anyone. Or I just always make the choices that will i don't know. 🙃

Letty on the other hand is such a weird mix of to childish or to smart for her age. She is the one getting in trouble more often but still scolds Sol every time. For some reason she never does something on herself and just reads all the time while Sol gives his best to help her. But she is funny in her own way.

Most of the old characters aren't that different from what they were like in the manga or the anime. But as they are just side characters in the story it felt a little cold talking with them. And you can feel the hate for my poor boy Elias as everyone is saying to go to Chise instead or saying rude things about him.🤣 Lacking the facial expression from the other media or at least a tone in his voice he is really hard to read. What leaves you in the same position as the characters, always wondering if he is pissed.

5. My conclusion

I really enjoy playing the game as a calm down. It has its weaknesses bit all in all it is a nice little story about the importance of memories. There are funny moments and it is nice to read about the everyday life of the characters before the collage ark. I think fellow fans of the series will find something enjoyable in it. For everyone else who isn't at least familiar with season one it might be boring though.

In the end i hope you can have fun with it and make good memories 😊

I offer you another lost/rare piece of mahoyome media: Drama CD (mfc info) that was a bonus for ordering all 4 season 1 blu-ray boxes on JP Amazon. Got this one a few years ago on yahoo auction and was able to pull out the audio, it's unlisted and I only ever shared the link on discord originally. There were no images, just added one for fun. I don't know Japanese so I don't really know what's going on, just that it's centered around Silky (Chise, Elias, and Ruth are there too of course) and you can hear her voice (or some kind of inner voice)!

When i was a child i had a hard time getting up in the mornings. Mother stroked me gently, it tickled a little, and she spoke with a sweet voice.

Silky: For you, for you.

Chise: Who? Mother...

Ruth: Chise? Are you awake?

Chise: Good Morning Ruth, I feel like I had a nice dream.

Ruth: Hmm...

Silky: Dew on mint, sad tears, eternal life in nutmeg.

Chise: Ruth did you also hear that voice?

Ruth: yea

Chise: So it wasn`t a dream.

Elias, Elias are you awake? Somehow I can hear a mysterious voice from someware.

Elias: ( Snores)

Chise: He sleeps.

Ruth: He sleeps, should i wake him?

Chise: No its fine. Elias isn`t a morning person.

It does´nt feel like something would happen right away so.

Ruth: Are you ok? If you say thinks like that usually it is`nt very reliable.

Chise: Good Morning Silky.

Silky: Nods

Chise: You made Breakfast for us right? Thank you i get ready right away.

Silky: Im Happy.

Chise: Ruth did you hear that?

Silky: Will she enjoy breakfast? Fun

Chise: Silky sorry I kept you waiting i just had a shower. It looks delicious.

Ruth: Also smells nice.

Chise: Salmon meuniere and what`s the green soup?

Ruth: It´s a herb soup.

Chise: To see such a green color in the morning.

Ruth: Amazing color like a pond in early spring.

No I mean it looks delicious.

Chise: Yes it smells really good, what kind of herbs are in it?

There are so many different kinds in this? This is Mint isn`t it?

Ruth: It makes my nose tingly.

Chise: This is parsley and coriander.

Chise: Um...

Ruth: Hey Chise

Silky: Im Happy, my mistress is pleased.

Elias: You can hear the voice of Silkys heart? (Yawns)

Chise: Sorry that I woke you up.

Elias: That doesn`t bother me.

Chise: Do you want some Tea?

Elias:(Yawns) I`ll have some. (I think he burned his tongue and blows so that the tea would cool down.)

Chise: He is sleepy.

Ruth: Is he a child?

Elias: So.... what was it again?

Chise: Well the voice of Silkys heart.

Elias: Ah thats right.

Chise: Since that morning I can hear a voice ringing.

Ruth: I heard it too.

Chise: And from what it says i thought that it might be Silkys voice.

Elias: Can everybody who is near the silver one hear it?

Chise: Um, did something like this happened before?

Elias: No this is the first time. Mhhh a voice from within.

Chise: Do you have an idea what caused it?

Elias: Can`t say for sure until I investigate it properly.

Chise: That`s right.

Elias: So where is the silver one ?

Chise: Huh? Silky? Silky!?

Ruth: Hey!

Elias: Silver one ?

Chise: Did you find her?

Elias: No and you?

Chise: No i looked in the storeromm and upstairs but didn`t find her anywhere.

Elias: Hmm that is...

Chise: What`s wrong?

Elias: This might become a problem.

Elias: Neighbors generally hate it when Humans know about them, so heaving their hearts exposed would be extremely unbearable for them.

Chise: That is certainly somethink that Humans can`t bear either.

Elias: If this continuess, the Silver one might disappear from our sight completely.

Elias: I dont think our Brownie friend will be able to leave this house so easily. She should be nearby. Let`s look for her again.

Chise: Yes.

Ruth: Hey

Ruth: There was a smell coming from the greenhouse.

Chise: Great

Ruth: Wait a second Chise.

Ruth: Im sure it`s her smell and that it comes from the greenhouse.

Ruth: It is kinda hard to get close.

Chise: Silky?

Silky: Don`t ! dont , dont come near me. stay away, no, i will be found out. no.

Chise: Silky`s voice is ringing in my head it makes it spin.

Ruth: It`s hard to get close right?

Chise: Elias what should we do?

Elias: Oh dear.

Chise: Silky.

Chise: Thank you for always making such delicious meals. Thank you for the warm clothes soaked with sunlight.

Silky: I don`t whant you to know. and yet.

Chise: Thank you for the fragrant sheets.

Silky: It is a secret.

Chise: I notice the flowers in the vase are always different, or the herbal tea, you make it to suit my physical condition.

Silky: You shouldnt have noticed, i can`t stay here and yet.

Chise: If werent by my side, when Silky wasn`t here, I might never known about all that.

Silky: certanly, punishment

Chise: punishment?

Silky: I wanted to get closer to all of you. Seeing your smile closer. Even if I am a neighbor so surly, that why I got punished.

Chise: That`s not true.

Silky: Chise

Chise: Thanks to Silky, I was able to remember how a warm home feel. To have Silky in this home, and having Silky beside me is so important to my. Thats why I want to spent more time with Silky. I dont want to believe that this feelings are a sin. I don`t regret them.

Silky: Together?

Chise:Togehter

Silky: Together, It hurts

Chise: Silky , at least i could come close. Thank you for letting me get this close. I will definetly find the cause of it. So will you come out of the Water pot?

Silky: Chise, thank you, my presious misstress.

Elias: Chise don`t let it come near you.

Ruth: I wan`t to catch it. Chise can I chase after it? Can I?

Chise: Wait Ruth we don`t know what kind that is and what it does.

It landed on Ruth tail.

Ruth: What ist this. It feels like...

Chise: Ruth

Ruth: Chise I have fun when I`m with you.

Chise: Huh? Ruth what`s wrong?

Ruth: All of a sudden I don`t know, but somehow I needed to say it.

Chise: Don`t jump on me.

Ruth: Lets go for a walk. You don`t whant to go on a walk? I will go for a Walk. Can I catch a rabbit or something?

Chise: Just what is going on with you Ruth?

Ruth: I want to have fun!

Chise: Elias what`s wrong with Ruth?

Elias: Hmm...

Ruth: Since that bug landed on my tail, I cant control my feelings. I... want to go for a walk. It`s so embarrasing I act like a puppy. It should stop but I want to go for a walk.

Chise: Elias could it be.

Elias: I see, a Hobber Beetle.

Chise: Hobber Beetle?

Elias: It is known as the Know-it-all Bug. Anyone who is stuck to it will have theire true feelings leek out to those around them.

Chise: Eh...

Ruth: Chise stroke my neck, at this place please.

Chise: I will..

Ruht: That feels nice, but it is embarrasing, please do somethik about it.

Elias: The Silver one doesn`t talk so I gues it let us know her inner thoughts in this way. Ehh I heard from others about it but this is the first time seeing one.

Ruth: Elias I can`t come down, do something about it quickly. Chise a bit more here

Chise: Understood

Elias: For now I`ll chase it away from your tail. It flew.

Ruth: Hey I won`t let it lend this time.

Chise: Elias what should we do?

Elias: We guide it away until its over.

Ruth: Chise it comes your way.

Chise: I can`t avoid it.

Huh? Silky. You trapped it in a jar.

Elias: That`s a relief for now. Silky you saved us.

Chise: Even so, why do Hobber Beetle reveal people`s true feelings?

Elias: It must be to eat people.

Chise: eh?

Elias: Its a different story if theyre a saintly ruler, but most people will become isolated from those around them if theire true feelings are revealed. Thats how they isolate them and when they don`t have anyone to help they prey on them. Thats the kind of creature Hobber Beetle are.

Chise: It`s more vicious than you think.

Ruth: If it eats humans why did it decide to attak me and Silky?

Elias: Living with Chise must have made you smell more human. If it weren`t for you it would have targeted Chise first.

Chise: Somehow .. Im sorry

Ruth:There is nothing you need to apologiseing for.

Chise: Thank you.

Elias: For now, I will bring this somewhere where there are no humans.

Chise: Yes. Silky? Thats right, Elias, why don`t we have lunch before that? Silky made a delicious soup for me.

Elias: That sounds good.

Ruth: In that case don`t we want to go for a walk after lunch? I Think its fine to talk after that.

Chise: Ruth you are no different with or without the Hobber Beetle.

Ruth: That`s not true.

Elias: But I feel like I missed out a little.

Chise: What do you mean?

Elias: I was just thinking if the Hobber Beetle attacked you, what would you have said?

Chise: What did you just say?

Elias: It would have bin a good chance to hear youre true feelings.

Chise: You can`t.

Elais: Really?

Chise: And I would get eaten.

Elias: There is no need to worry about that, right?

Chise: Why?

Elias: I have no intension to let you all alone.

Why did you get red?

Chise: Elias, you could hide youre thoughts a bit more.

Elias: Why?

Chise: because

Elias: You keep setting up conversations and not are talking. I don`t really get it.

Chise: There are some things that you don`t have to say out loud. Right Silky.
