My thoughts
Sitting by the bedside, thinking about the year 2020 so far. It’s been a long year, all I can say is -- I am grateful.

Is there an association between depression (low mood I) and level of enthusiasm?
After exploring the data set of NESARC, I got fixated on Depression (Low mood I). I have decided to consider all necessary variables such as low enthusiasm, duration of low mood episodes, loss of appetite etc. in my new data set. The question of “how depression affects the level of enthusiasm of an individual?” lingers so much on my mind. My research topic is also slightly related to behavioural changes, and I have close relatives who are dealing with this disorder triggered as a result of the current situation of things – COVID 19, thus, my interest in this topic. Research has reported the loss of enthusiasm as one of the symptoms of depression (Rebecca et al., 2020). Furthermore, I would like to explore this topic to understand if this individual also seeks treatment.
