Mastery Reflection
I came into this month looking to broaden my understandings and build upon my previous foundations of search engine optimization. Previously I was confused as to how I could apply these concepts to my chosen company WWE. WWE is such a huge global entertainment brand that is accessed by hundreds of thousands daily and millions per week; and working with those kind of numbers can be overwhelming financially.
In the advance search engine optimization course I got reacquainted with tools I utilized in previous classes like Spyfu.com, Calcustat.com and Alexa.com.
I gained premium access to Spyfu.com for the week and got detailed information about the WWE’s website traffic. I learned how to apply the information I gathered to build a PPC campaign pitch. The pitch was an assignment that I didn’t do so well on. But in my failure I understand how I can turn things around emphasize the details and make a positive impact with my efforts.
One of the most valuable techniques that I learned this month is how to monitor my competition. The tools I used during that exercise is definitely something I will continue to use professionally moving forward. Keeping an eye on your competition keeps you sharp and aware of different marketing strategies. Also another valuable technique is picking up on common PPC errors and identifying them in your website. Being able to identify and phase out these common errors will further optimize my website and improve rankings. Overall, I enjoyed the course despite some misconnections.
