Bio:
Beatrice may have been the youngest Dubois, but she certainly wasn’t the least of them all. Growing up in Canada, Beatrice wanted a way to enjoy the winter despite its freezing temperatures and its inconvenience of snow, so from a very young age, she showed an interest in snowboarding. With parents who couldn’t quite tell her no, the next thing she knew, she found herself in lessons.
It wasn’t long before she was completely in love with the sport, and if she wasn’t on the slopes, she was watching videos on tv and YouTube. By her teens, she was in competitions, and by seventeen, she’d gone to the Olympics, where she won her first gold medal!
Featured on magazine covers, talk shows, and interviews, Beatrice’s popularity did nothing but grow in the sports world. She was invited to events, continued competing, and even dated celebrities. Although the fame got her head a bit, and she found herself paranoid about what people’s intentions were with her after learning one of her boyfriends used her for clout. Somewhere along the way, she thought that it would be better to be the user rather than be used. She dated celebrities and athletes who’d keep her name in the media, get her in touch with coaches and labels. Even merely to get invited to popular events and parties.
However, all that changed when she met her last boyfriend. She had no intention of falling for him, not at all. But she did, no matter how much she told herself she wasn’t in love or that he was nothing but a dollar sign, she couldn’t deny the way he made her feel.
Until… he proposed. It was a beautiful night, and he asked at the absolute perfect time, but she couldn’t say yes… or no. So she didn’t say anything until she blurted out that she needed to think about it. And then she said no.
And that’s how she found herself in California, living with her older brother in his condo, visiting family while currently hiding from her boyfriend.
Colton: Haha I do, no worries.
Colton: But be honest. We all know if there's going to be another one long before the first date ends.
Colton: Pick you up at 6?

"Now I...I wouldn't call all of them ugly. That blue cap looked nice." Phil said in response as they walked around the store. "Would you rather they had The Row or Cucinelli?"
"I'm probably too biased to offer any kind words," he admits, surprisingly. At the very least he can acknowledge that she isn't Oriana, but their situations mirror too closely for him to not have any harsh feelings over the matter. "What'd you do after that?"
“Well he looked crushed, and I couldn’t stand the fact I’d hurt him like that. I also couldn’t imagine myself marrying anyone right now. So I ran off. I went to my hotel room and called my brother. Next thing I know I’m headed to California to get away from my insane life. And now my coach and publicist are angry with me. I’m not going to the Olympics now. Everything sucks. “
It took a moment but Beatrice finally caught what he said. “What do you mean you’re biased?”
"Hey, look who's not crying in public anymore." Logan piped up in lieu of greeting as she recognized the woman in front of her, the words blurting out of her before she could really stop them and she winced before giving her an apologetic smile, "I mean uh, hey? How are ya?"
“Oh gosh. I’m mortified, please don’t ever look at me again.” Beatrice groaned. It was truly one of the most embarrassing and pathetic moments of her life; crying to a stranger about he breakup.
“I’m better. I’m sure you’re glad to hear that.” She huffed out a laugh. “How’s it going?”
Colton: Hey, I appreciate the honesty. Saves us both time and energy.
Colton: I should have you know I'm a seasoned first dater, and dinner is an absolute must.
Colton: Just be prepared to be overwhelmed by heartshaped balloon wherever we go.

Luce gave her friend an apologetic smile and she reached over, giving her hand a little squeeze between them. "Everything is fine. And even if it's not right now...it will be. And it's okay that things aren't fine right now too. Shit's messy."
And when she heard about Beatrice's now total ex, she felt her shoulders slump, her expression slowly morphing into an all-out frown. "I'm sorry, Bea." She squeezed her hand again, letting the touch linger for a few moments. "While I definitely agree on the putting yourself out there thing, I'd also say...don't rush it? Rebounds suck for everyone involved. Just..let yourself feel whatever you're feeling right now. Sit in it for a bit, and then take the next step? Don't rush trying to feel better and all."
Beatrice frowned but she nodding as she listened to her friend's advice. "You're very sweet." Beatrice gave her a little smile. "Ugh feeling it sucks though! But you're right, rebounds aren't the way to go. This feels needed though-- girls night. It definitely helps."
Gabe smirked at her comment and he couldn’t help but feel like now he’d forced her to do something she didn’t want to do. Truth was though Gabe wasn’t a big fan of dancing but he’d always do it with Mia. She was his exception, no one else
“ how do you meet new people then? Because everything is small talk till you get to know them? He asked with a curious edge to his voice. “ I’m okay. Which is something amazing to say lately. “ he began. “ I’m a detective. Which is code for I sit at a desk a lot of the time and solve cases through paperwork” @beatricexdubois
"Usually I can just ask people to do something like dance with me and we have so much fun we want to hang out again. Go to brunch and that's when we end up talking like we're besties." Beatrice shrugged her shoulders.
"A detective? Hm. Does Aurora Bay have a lot of crime that needs a detective? I guess no place is one hundred percent safe."
"That's... true." But as someone who liked to be around people, that was less appealing than going out and talking to someone face to face. Perhaps he was too extroverted for his own good. "I suppose on days I don't want to talk to people, that would be nice." He hummed.
"I don't know. I'm having fun with it, but I can see how it could be boring. So what kind of hobbies are you thinking about?"
"It is very nice when you don't want to talk to anyone." Beatrice agreed. "Sorry, it can be fun to you, of course. I don't know, I don't collect anything unless its shoes. I feel like my hobby is just my whole career. I'm a snowboarder and that's basically where I am 24/7; the slopes. I mean, not lately. Lately I've been in Aurora Bay."
“ yeah that’s my least favorite expression too. “ sully admitted as he steadied sera on his shoulders and she muttered that she wasn’t gonna wander off again. He was just glad he’d found her before he’d had a bit of a breakdown. It was clear that no matter how sully had been related to sera, he had been her father and moments like now highlighted that fact. “ nice to meet you. And thank you again for helping her. She’s kind of my whole world “ @beatricexdubois
"Of course! I know I used to scare my parents so bad when I'd run off when we were out. I just liked running and they didn't." Beatrice had lost count of the times she'd done that sort of thing as a child; just wandering away because there was too much to look at.
"Maybe I could get you guys some ice cream? Celebrate the reunion."
Rafael can't stop himself from letting out a little scoff at her confession. It hits a little too close to home, but he tries to be as objective as possible. "No is an acceptable answer," he says, tone rather neutral, "if you weren't feeling it, maybe it wasn't the right time...or person? Take it from someone who has been on the other said, I would have rather my ex fiancée told me no than say yes and then, well, she walked out on me."
Beatrice's frown only deepened when the man revealed they had similar stories, except he was the one that'd been rejected. "Gosh, that sounds horrible. I said yes, but then I panicked and said no! He had a moment of being happy and then I shredded his heart like it was nothing. I'm so the worst."
Lore understood that sometimes emotions got a lot, especially after a terrible phone call or a text message. She'd done enough crying in public that sometimes people didn't want to talk about what was going on. Sometimes all they needed was a distraction. Lore would never mention someone breaking down again. She'd pretend it didn't happen unless the person wanted to talk about it.
"If you want to talk..." she started. But she didn't expect her to. Lore was ready with more distractions if necessary. "I'm Loretta, but most people just call me Lore."
"I'm Beatrice, but most people call me Bea." The blonde huffed out a watery laugh as she wiped her eyes. "I just messed up really bad. My boyfriend proposed to me, I freaked out and left, and now we've broken up." Not to mention she'd ruined her spot at getting into the winter Olympics that year. "It'll be fine.. Eventually. It's whatever."
