“You have a nice night, Beau,” he said with no emotion before getting out of the car smooth and slow. She was going to get home safely whether he was in the car or not.

“No,” she said as he got out of the car, her body jumped out, her barefoot self wincing as soon as her sore feet went on the concrete. “You don’t just get to snap your fingers and make problems go away.”

“Enough of this shit, Beau,” Stone told her, snatching her hand by force and pulling her to the curb. His car came around the corner to take them away.

Once he slipped into the car, she was free from his grasp, “Tell him where you want to go.”

“Jesus Christ, Stone,” she scoffed, letting herself be dragged to his car. Once she was in she moved farther away from him looking towards the window. Once she told the driver where she wanted to go, she looked back at him. “Last time we were in this seat, you kissed me. I should just walk.”
